FSW Lear 35 in preflight...

Featured Replies

Not seen this mentioned on the forums, but the FSW Lear 35 has gone into Beta. From their Discord:

<@&1142249104332816475> Beta has officially started and our team is made up from real Learjet pilots Learjet instructors and others that work with Learjets. Already making improvements and also getting other odd things finished. We hope to only stay in beta for around 3-4 weeks.

One of my favourites in p3d, if it's as good as their C414 then instant buy from me..

That's exciting news. I had their Falcon 50 in p3d and loved it even before they got a decent texture artist onboard.

Oh that is good news, I'm really looking forward to that! Their C414 is absolutely amazing, and the Lear was as well, back in the P3D days.

I think I flew the Lear 35 more than any other jet in p3d.  Excellent addon

My most flown was probably the ES Citation X in p3d3 - at least according to fshub.io. Glad to see we've got one coming from FlightFX.....

... hoping the FSW LJ35 has their FMS in it - 'cuz I let my PMS subscription finish, before going for lifetime .. ..

The Learjet 35A was my favorite bizjet in FSX.

Flies like how an exotic sports car drives...

It will have the GNS or GTN.  They mentioned not enough sales of the p3d version fms to warrant making it in msfs.

I suspect the reason it didn't sell well in P3D is that most of us had already left for MSFS...I think I had probably uninstalled P3D by the time it came out.

Shame, because I'd absolutely pay extra for it in MSFS!

I'd be happy with the universal as well but I'm not sure if it did VNAV.  So I think for planning and VR flight id rather have GTN.

The thing with those FMS in corporate jets is most of the time your better off with a garmin unit. The Citation CJ I used to fly IRL had FMS in it but we never used them always used the garmin 530

Yeah that's what I've heard.  A GNS 530w or even a gtn 750 is quite powerful and typically better than an fms

Absolutely! The Universal FMC especially is an absolute trainwreck in any airplane it's installed in, be it a GA Learjet or the Dash 8-Q400. Just mind-boggling engineering and UI/UX decisions that went into that thing during its development.

I remember this thing being a real challenge to fly in the circuit in P3D, in a good way of course.

The flight deck looks cramped and complicated in VR, again in a good way, I suspect I’ll buy it straight away.
