This mod is the first "performance enhancement" mod that I've ever used that actually made a obvious and substantial improvement in the sim's performance. 

It doesn't modify the simulator in any way, so I'm not sure why MS/Asobo would squelch the topic like that. I read an article that said that AMD intentionally made it open source to encourage use of their technology on non-AMD hardware. It certainly works.

I don't post over there but I have noticed an increase in thread deletion, post removing, locking off threads for no or poor reasons and general censorship in recent months. The flagging system is pathetic as well, but anyway but for this thread sorry!

It's Nvidia that will do something about it more than likely in a future driver update, they can't be happy with this.

I guess a very unhappy user base if they did.  the FG and Dynamic LOD mods have given me a completely smooth 70fps on my 2080ti.  I was only able to run at 35fps before and that was below the lower limit my G-SYNC monitor would activate.  G-Sync is working because FG has given me 70fps, putting me over the lower threshold for G-SYNC.  The Dynamic LOD MOD means smoother flying near the ground, but detailed scenery at altitude.  These two MODS have transformed MSFS for me.

It would be a big kick in the teeth if this new found performance was taken away.

Of course they will take it away, its gonna kill nvidia sales and profits. Why would I upgrade my 3080 when I get smooth 90+ FPS now , im in literal holy grail territory coming from FS 95 days. MS will probs make it mandatory to upgrade to nvdida drivers which kill the mod. We will see but im just a cynical middle age man now.

I got thrown out of there for insisting they enforce certain rules they have (clickbait thread titles) but never enforced. And regarding the dynamic LOD and FG mods, yeah, god forbid people actually get better performance. I really actually despise the official forums.

To me this is a probability. 

Make sure you all download the drivers before Nvidia removes them lol

It wont matter, they will force you to run the newer drivers or the game won't run, watch

The one thing i have learned about flight sims is any excess performance is eventually used. Whether from increasing resolution, adding ai airplanes, traffic, atc, etc. This performance boost will eventually get used.
