V9 is working perfectly but I still had to do the registry hack as per the instructions in the v9 readme file. Did you download the "Universal" package and use the "dll_version" folder? That shouldn't require the registry hack.

My understanding is that the sim should have moved itself during one of the updates, but for a lot of people it did not. Yes, in my case it did not...I have also read that MS may implement FG in a future update so I think I'll hold off for a while. It is running fine with AMD FS 2 set to balanced.

January 15, 20242 yr The mod has been working fine for me for the last week then BOOM tonight anything above 10FPS and I was lucky plus I got the GPU warning crash. I'm using the original version of the mod as I had no setup issues, warnings, crashes etc. How can it work flawlessly and then just fall apart without any changing of settings or drivers? Strange. I'm running 546.33 since I started using it. January 15, 20242 yr Been away for a long time, but this caught my interest. I have seen quite a few different experiences with this and the RTX2080/S/Ti and I am considering testing it myself. I might borrow a Asus RTX2080Ti Rog Strix 11gb which I have a feeling is one of the top performers in the 2000-series. Rest of the test system is the i5-13600K, 32GB DDR5 6000 running a resolution of 2560x1440p so I should have some wiggleroom with this system I hope if I have to tune down some settings. How are you guys with a 2000-series card doing with this? Have read a lot of ups and downs in this thread, but I hope for some positive response. EDIT: And with a long time I mean that my about me section magically went from 16 years to an old 27 year old 😊 Edited January 15, 20242 yr by Bønny96 Fun fact Benjamin Hennes Ryzen 7 7800X3D | Strix 2080Ti 11GB | 32GB DDR5 | 1TB SSD | Windows 11 Home

I haven't had a single problem using the FG MOD with my 2080Ti. I am using it with the DynamicLOD MOD also. In MSFS settings I am using DLSS set to Quality. Before the MOD I could run at 35fps with high settings. However, 35FPS is below the activation point for my G_SYNC compatible monitor. With the mod I have raised my settings and have a smooth and stable 60FPS, which enables G_SYNC to activate. I have the Universal version of the mod, and I just dropped in the two .dll files - no registry hack needed. Oh well, at least you have it running. EDIT: Just saw you now have the Universal version 👍 Edited January 15, 20242 yr by Paul K Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
January 15, 20242 yr This mod smooths out panning, and I've noticed it does a better job with smoothness and FPS at MSFS detailed airports compared to third-party airports. However, the limitation is that you need decent FPS for this mod to work as intended. If you have low FPS, this mod will become a stutterfest.
January 16, 20242 yr It's crazy seeing that my VRAM usage with this mod went up to about 20GB. Running it with an rtx2070 and i7 3930k on a 32" screen at 2560 ×1440 with the dynamic LoD mod too. Best thing to happen to MSFS since release imo.

Does Dynamic lod emphasize fps or smoothness? Btw I just did some testings. When I applied the mod and get the graphic settings to mostly high, the difference is not pole apart. I.e. High settings without Fgen give me roughly 42-48 fps most of the time (downtown Jakarta and the busiest airport are in the same perimeter), while with the mod give me 44-53 fps. Although increae, it's really a trade. The mod is likely more suitable for ultra settings with higher resolution, that's where I see a huge difference according to many YouTube videos. Probably going to use the mode when flying airliners, and stick with the stable dx11 for slow and low.
