Thanks for the answer. Default I presume the refresh rate of 60hz? And I think I should enable vsync in Nvidia settings?

No, the default is the highest refresh rate. Even if you start with 165 Hz in Windows, if you set a framerate limiter then also the refresh rate will drop to the framerate limit.

  • Really? It's night and day difference. I'm testing the mod right now, on my "old" 3090, and I get a steady 60 fps, with PMDG 737-800, parked at FSDT KORD, at 5120x1440 32:9, I barely hit 40 befor

  • I'm testing this right now and my mind is blown.  I now understand why all the hype about FG.  3080ti, 4K, mostly high/ultra settings and have been pegged at 60FPS on first test flight in the Fenix.

  • I was one of the people who basically ordered an RTX 4000 series card only because of Frame Generation. And FG is really impressive.  Now I'm glad everyone gets to participate in that experience.

ah got it, so in set the refresh rate to the highest, set 60fps frame limit in Nvidia, enable gsync in Nvidia settings but leave vsync disabled since gsync is enabled? (sorry again, is confusing 😅

Ill probably wait for a 4070 before trying FG.  Some seem to be liking it however.

Its one of those things that if you need it you need it bad.

I have the RTX 4070 Ti 12G and I have no problems with P3Dv4-v5 but MSFS2020. Randomly I get weird view with MSFS and I think my graphics settings need to change but don't know what.

I've been a-fiddling with my NVCP settings and have suddenly got tearing and quite bad flickering. I can't seem to get it back to the way it was - may I ask what are the 'must have' settings in NVCP ?

GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080Ti 12Gb VRAM

Working for me with the frame generation mod. On another note, I have been hearing and reading in a few places that MS and/or NVidia may block the use of the mod.  I hope that doesn't happen.

I haven't found it necessary to do anything major in the NVCP.

My settings are:

In Global Settings the only thing I have done is set 10GB as my Shader Cache Size.

Under the Program settings for MSFS I have:

Anisotropic Filtering set to 16x and OFF in the sim

Power management mode set to Prefer maximum performance

Vertical sync ON and Off in the sim.

I am running adaptive LOD and the FG mod (latest version).

Everything is smooth and stutter free with a solid 60 FPS and no tearing when panning.

Thanks @Noell

Having anisotropic filtering enabled in NVCP, but not in the sim, seems to have made some difference.

FYI the anisotropic filtering setting only affects the clarity of distant objects.

I have never seen anisotropic filtering cause any flickering or tearing no matter what the setting or the manner of implementation.

Yes, sorry, I wasn't very clear, was I ? The distance flickering has improved above what I had earlier - before the latest flickering and tearing happened.

I'm wondering whether some of this is down to the latest Nvidia driver. For example, I had sorted out TAA so it worked acceptably with the mod, but now there is excess flickering with that too.

I shall continue to test, but thanks for your response. Any more ideas will be very welcome.

I must have been missed something. What does it mean by DLSSTweak version. Is it for those who turn the DLSS on?I  am using the universal version and keeping the DLSS on.

No, use the universal one, the dll folder.

Runs like absolute butter for me with these settings. I gave the same GPU.

I was having some stuttering issues but installed the Auto LOD widget for FlowPro. That made all the difference in the world. With the frame gen mod, my frame rates are effectively doubled.

Where to get Auto LOD widget for FlowPro?
