AzurPoly’s OV-10 Bronco Nears Release.

Featured Replies

The AzurPoly team has made significant strides in bringing this iconic aircraft to virtual skies. The latest updates reveal that the Bronco is not only nearing completion but will also feature some cool and innovative features.

AzurPoly will be offering a weapons manager for non-Marketplace versions of the OV-10 Bronco. Due to Marketplace policies, the version for PC and Xbox users will remain weapons-free, but there’s always the option to purchase from third-party sources if you wish to display weapons.

Good viewing for VR with that cockpit, well keep an eye on it.

Do we know more about system deepth?
The Bronco engines should be treated in a more sensitive way, especially the starting sequence. Is this modeled?

Yes, hopefully the prop locks will be simulated accurately.

I think this has the TPE331 like the PMDG Jetstream 41 did, correct?  I remember that was one false move and BOOM.  😀

There’s a nice freeware version currently available, and yes that’s excellent in VR looking over your shoulder at those props and superb all round visibility.

Im sure this version will be great as their C160 is really nice.

I flew similar engines on a metro several decades ago and no, they didn't go boom with mishandling, but if your previous experience was the PT6 like mine was they were a different design and simply required different handling. i only flew them for a few hundred hours so never really fell in love with them but they worked fine.

As to this add-on I am looking forward to it. In the rw i flew fixed wing fire suppression for 10 years  in both the water bomber and birddog - sometimes both in the same day.  Discussions around our tanker base were that we would have loved to get our hands on this machine. The visibility looks like it would be superb and as the birddog pilot in my AOR was also the air traffic controller it looked to be a great platform....plus potentially a lot of fun. My avatar(if that's the right word) is in the Cl215 water bomber - R2800 round engines.

An interesting plane. The visibility is outstanding, and it looks like a modified 337 Skymaster (or at least inspired by the Skymaster.)

Any insiders with Info?, gone very quiet on the Azurpoly website.

Not that I want it rushed, just that Spring is (Hopefully) imminent and real life gets busy then and PC Playtime disappears

Clearly one of the best GA or let´s call it observation aircraft ever made. I only trust the good old Bronco when flying over Tyrannosaurus-infested areas.

They look hungry today:

Our Broncosaurus here has the same outstanding photorealistic aircraft museum cockpit quality as the DCS Tomcat (and the oncoming Phantom), with all the awesome details including cables, or the light bulb inside the gear lever and more included.

That´s the spirit that´s the level of quality making flight simming a pure joy!
