Sorry, OT, but is there a way/tool to save your default zoom to 79%?

on the drone camera I'm not sure....I have a button mapped for zoom (and by default, its the + and - keys on the numeric keypad)....and I've never explored editing a camera.cfg file to see if it sticks.  I've done it so often with my keyboard, I press the + key for a moment and it goes to 78-81%...so that has been working for me.  I open the camera window when I want to fine tune it to 79% for detailed camera work.

I was testing some new textures on my Navy paint...at 79% zoom, it just looks....right. (big storms rolling into NAS Key West when I shot this pic)

@sherv_BBS  While I am willing to accept some of my initial concerns about nose shape may be due to camera perspective / zoom / fisheye effect etc., we can only form an opinion based on the material we are given can't we?
Looking at the thumbnail picture for the initial video (first post in this thread), you must admit, it doesn't look the best does it?  And whatever arguments there are about default camera perspective in the sim, they can be adjusted.

I just want the product shown in its best possible light to judge if it worth spending my money on, because as I stated previously, I am desperate to get my hands on a 757 in the sim, and hopefully it will be this one.
Best of luck on this project and your continuing hard work on it!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Thanks my friend.  I do agree,  the nose in that shot looks a bit off and I will study the model to see if it's a camera issue ( which some of the shots clearly stretch the nose out more than it is in the actual model source file ) or if it's a model issue with some of the curves being incorrect.  We'll get this right. No worries.

I posted some updated pics in our FB.  I used Steve's 79% technique and the screen shots look much better!  We also did some slight tweaks on the nose.  These pics were to hi-light the non-winglet variant along with the cargo expansion ( that will come after the pax release as a paid expansion ).    PW engines will follow soon.

The 757 simply looks best without winglets.
Would love to do Thomson ski charter OPS to LOWI and LOWS by DEC24 😄

I'm super stoked about the 757.  I've always liked how the front landing gear looks twice as tall as any other airliner gear.  I think it's because the bottom is so flat on that plane.  😄

Be still my heart!  I enjoy freighter ops much more than passenger flights....and both your upcoming beauties have pretty much take that role in the skies these days.  I'll fly FedEx all over the US and DHL in the EU with the 757...and take the mighty 767 across the pond when she's released.

One of the few passenger 767's I'll fly often (and paint) is the last one I flew on a few years back...to the depicted airport below from Dallas....(this is one of my favorite angles to shoot a "glam" shot of a plane...rocketing off the runway, gear tucking up on her way to destinations in our dreams) 🙂   When I was setting up this pic, I made sure to capture the iconic landmark that makes this airport easily recognized.

Very excited about these Boeings....will bring back fond memories flying them back in the "old" days of flight simming...but with much more fidelity that MSFS offers us...what a time to be a simmer. 🙂

Speaking of iconic background scenery....this older American Airlines classic landing in this shot leaves no doubt where she's touching down. 🤣
