Do you have some settings for me how i install the app. i never work with rtts. I will use it. At this time i fly with fg, vsync on, fps 60 for my 43 Samsung TV. Thanks Frank from eddm sorry about my bad englisch writing The advantage of using RTSS is that the sim runs very smooth (if your FPS lock is reasonable). Step by step: Download RTSS here Set framerate limit Go to setup => enable framerate limiter Select front edge sync in the dropdown menu I'm using a couple of hotkeys which are very useful (not required). Setup => plugins tab => select HotkeyHandler.dll (click checkbox to the left of it to make sure it's enabled) Click setup (bottom of window) Set key assignments (I use Num 9 for toggle on-screen display and Num 6 for toggle framerate limiter) If this is unclear, let me know and I will post some screenshots. That is the setting that works well for me ( 2views . Thanks for your great work ! Do you mean Auto TLOD? If so, it's still there untouched Or do you mean Auto Target FPS in non-expert mode? If so, it only disappears if an FPS cap is detected and FPS Cap mode is active because you have chosen the target FPS and hence it is no longer relevant. Before you start a flight or if an FPS cap isn't auto detected then Auto Target FPS will be present as an option. You have said AutoFPS again, but that is the name of the app not a particular feature in the app. So do you mean you will be happy to see Auto TLOD automation method still present in expert mode? ie. this one? 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11

If AutoFPS does not show FPS Cap, lower the default (sim menu TLOD) or target FPS. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
January 17, 20251 yr Without studying all available information 😃 I have a simple question: Does the Program running in Non-Expert-Mode anyhow uses the settings defined in the corresponding Expert-Mode und make some number-crunching with those values?
January 17, 20251 yr Hello, and first, thanks for this brilliant tool! A question: when I do not use expert mode, set target FPS to 60 in IFR. Why do I get TLOD 150 when frames would not be reached, being at 50 to 55 with it? it says FPS in Day TLOD 150 or so in the status bar. Sure, I can use expert mode and lower it, but want to keep as simple as possible and wonder why TLOD 150 is "hardcoded"? many thanks Edited January 17, 20251 yr by guenseli Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lower that value until you can hit your 60 FPS cap. The app will then increase this value if you have headroom. Ryan

If non-expert mode is working fine then use your MSFS default TLOD as your starting point for expert settings, then adjust from there. For example, when configuring FPS Cap mode, try initially setting your TLOD Base and Top to what non-expert would have set them as covered in the updated readme, then change from there eg. LOD Step - 5 Alt TLOD Top - VFR 3000 ft, IFR 5000 ft TLOD Base - VFR 50% of your current MSFS TLOD setting, IFR 25% TLOD Top - VFR 150% of your current MSFS TLOD setting, IFR 100% Headroom + - enabled TLOD Top - - enabled Thank you for responding. Yes, enabling the trreshhold limits did the trick. Now even the fps dipping under 30fps, it dit not stutter. Being able to cap the FPS under 144hz makes my PC quiet and way less hot. Before I was hitting over 100fps and my XR6800 fans were going nuclear.

Per the readme, in IFR mode your TLOD min is calculated as 50% of your default MSFS TLOD, which is why you are seeing TLOD 150 as the lowest. Also per the readme, you should be entering a target FPS your system can usually easily achieve, so if the app can't achieve your target FPS, even with only half of your default MSFS TLOD, then either your target FPS or default MSFS TLOD is set too high and you need to adjust one or both downwards. Based on what your screenshot shows, if you really want to have an FPS target of 60 then you should set your default MSFS TLOD (without the app running, or at the very least in the main MSFS menu) to something like 100. That will give you TLOD Min of 50 in IFR, 100 in VFR, and TLOD Min + will have the opportunity to increase it from there if your system has the performance headroom. My system is normally quite quiet in VR as with an FPS cap it is rare that either CPU or GPU gets maxed out and I like it that way. When I am testing my app in 2D with FG and no FPS cap, my fans ramp up too and it seems abnormally loud, but I guess that's how the majority of people experience the sim. FPS caps are really good IMO, not just for lower noise but for improved smoothness because there is always a bit of performance headroom and likely less component wear and tear from not running things flat out all the time. 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
