I still genuinely suggest you stay out of all such discussions in the future.

I suggest some accumulation of user statistics.  It is not about the quality and importance of the development.  That is beyond question in my opinion.  What decipherable guidance and recommendations will be provided to the masses upon release? I recommend a zip file with included up-to-date documentation that includes recommendations bridging an array of user systems.  There is an incredibly huge potential user base that bridges a wide array of tech recognition and understanding.  Am 100% attempting to help here.  Not on the technical side.  Instead from the user side.

As I have already stated, it will be the readme update on the changed feature that has been shaped by feedback I have received right here, which you could have been part of if you actually told me why my four dot points are unclear. Since you'd rather ask me a question me on something I had just told you, this is no longer a constructive discussion so I am bowing out.

Do you have the latest LSFG version installed, because that's the format of LSFG configuration file that the app is trying to read and will not work with older versions? If you do have the latest LSFG version, with 3.0 support, and it is still not detecting correctly, please message me the contents of your LSFG settings.xml file, located in %localappdata%/Lossless Scaling and I'll see what the issue is.

Re not showing the actual FPS if you are using a non-standard FPS cap and it is reaching it, that is a limitation of LSFG detection because there is no way that I have found to read the actual FPS other than estimating it based on what in-game FPS you are achieving and multiplying it by the detected LSFG multiplier. If your G sync monitor goes up to 120Hz, why not just set an FPS cap in game to say 40 FPS (1/3 vsync or manually set with RTSS) then use LSFG at 3X to always give you 120 FPS?

Hi, I am using the latest version of LSFG with 3.0 support so I will message you the settings.xml file.

Thank you for the suggestion for the GSYNC monitor settings, I will give it a try.

I have tried locking FPS at 40 and using LSFG 3X mode which seems to work well giving a LS FPS of 120. However, RC1 still reports LSFG 2X mode, not 3X mode.

Did you change your LSFG MSFS profile name from MSFS 2024 to MSFS2024 like I messaged you? Also, that profile was set to 2X so you'll have to change it to 3X too then hit the app reset button and all should be good.

I have completed two flights in MSFS2024 in the Fenix with RC1. One flight was with LSFG 3X and FPS capped at 40 (monitor is 120), and the other with FG and FPS capped at 60. Both were using non-expert IFR mode. All was very good with smooth flight and the app adjusting settings when required, which was not very often as I have a good system. Thank you so much for this app and the advice.

I am pleased we sorted out your LSFG detection issue and that you have found settings suitable for you. Thanks for the feedback!

@Reset XPDR Can you please consider removing the prompt to update. I have an excellent working version and I don't like to see the update available. If it ain't broken, I like to leave it as is. Thanks.

No thank you. It's far better for the app to inform you that there is an update than to have to go searching around websites.

Also considering that updates do in 99% of the cases improve something instead of regressing it.

So the amount of people who will say: "Nah, it works fine I need no update" is neglible.

What I meant is a tick box that checks for updates or doesn't check for updates. Most aps have this feature.

The app only tells you there is a newer version available up until you start your first flight, where it would otherwise just say waiting for flight session to start, so hardly intrusive.

As @Farlis says, newer versions contain bug fixes and I generally don't take away features so why wouldn't you want to be on the latest version that is the version I am currently supporting? Updating to a new version is quick and if you don't like it, it is just as easy to go back to your older version and maintain your existing configuration.

After the MSFS 2024 1 2.8 0 update broke the app, which I subsequently fixed in an update, I kept getting support requests on the broken version so now I have gone the other way and some updates will be mandatory with the app not working until you do update.

Also, do you realise that in order to get what you want you'd have to install the update I put the change in that implements optional non-mandatory updates, which defeats your desire to stay on your current version? Which app version are you running that you wish to stay with?

I understand.

I sim only with MSFS 2020 and your version is MSFS_AutoFPS-installer-v0.4.4.1.

Thanks!
