Are you aware this is how FSUIPC was created many years ago? It takes a very clever person to disassemble a executable and analyse the contents. The original UIPC was created by Adam Zofran and then P

never mind, restarted the app and all good. test flying now

I think you actually found something. The app was not correctly hiding the expert panel in non-expert mode if you switched MSFS versions using the button in the app and the other MSFS version was in expert mode. eg.

If you were set up like this, then pressed the red circled button:

image.png?ex=679483ac&is=6793322c&hm=0b7

Then the 2024 config, if set to non-expert mode, would show as:

image.png?ex=67947e79&is=67932cf9&hm=a474c7c9dc4ae2291cab52e3db3284b35db82ca4357e7d884c8f94509dbb5121&

And you couldn't change the values because you were not actually in expert mode.

I have fixed it so you will now correctly see:

image.png?ex=6794847e&is=679332fe&hm=f77

I am hoping that is what the issue was, but regardless I found a bug and fixed it because of looking into it so thanks for that!

Update: Fixed in test3 here.

Latest test seems to be working great on my end.

A little bit stuttery, but that’s probably just the a380, latest 2024 dev build seems to have taken a step back if that’s the case..

Good morning everyone,

First of all, my compliments to Reset XPDR  and to that part of the community that contributed to improving this software, which now allows so many users to fully enjoy the simulator. I haven’t been able to closely follow the program’s evolution to its current state and, honestly, for my needs, it’s perhaps become a bit too complex to configure.
Back in MSFS2020, I always preferred using the older version, where I could manually set the LOD based on altitude. FS2024 runs perfectly for me, and I’d simply like to be able to adjust the TLOD and OLOD on the ground and, for example, above 400 feet. For my needs, something like this would be sufficient, without linking it to FPS or the other parameters I’ve seen being introduced.
Is it possible to configure just the TLOD and OLOD presets in FS2024, as was the case with the old DynamicLOD? Sorry if it was already discussed but the thread is now gigantic

ResetXPDR is doing an absolutely amazing job! And all for free while it's a "payware product" quality for sure.

Regarding your question, at the beginning I was fiddling with settings too, now I'm simply using it almost at default. I set up FPS i want, min/max tlod and olod, and that's all.

If you want the older version, DynamicLOD_ResetEdition has been updated to work with MSFS 2024 as well, which you can download from here. There is a formal release version 0.4.3 that supports the current MSFS 2024 release version and also a test version 0.4.4-test that also supports the latest MSFS 2024 SU1 Beta.

Strange, I just bought msfs 2024 and updated AutoFPS to the latest version, but it won't connect. I use this app in MSFS 2020 without any problems. Any idea what the problem could be?

If you are running the MSFS SU1 Beta then you need to be running the latest test version.

If not, message me your log file, located in %appdata%\MSFS_AutoFPS\log, and I'll take a look.

Sent you a PM. I'm not in the latest Beta.

Thanks, I didn't know. I will try both. Thanks again for your unbelievable efforts

PS: Regarding DynamicLOD, I see the latest version is 0.4.0. Does this also work with the SU1 Beta?

PS2: I found it, sorry https://github.com/ResetXPDR/DynamicLOD_ResetEdition/releases

No, 0.4.3 is the release latest version, which you can get here.

If you want to try the test version that is compatible with MSFS 2024 SU1, the latest version Test2 is available here (noting this link may be superceded by a subsequent test release for anyone coming back to this post in a few days time. Just check the releases page to get the latest version here).

I'll jump in here to say that I am using ver 0.4.4.5-test3  of the differently named  MSFS_AutoFPS also created by ResetXPDR for the 2024 SU1-Beta.
