Yes, I had it. Defender said two nasties. I checked with Malwarebytes and it was clean. It's a false positive. I ran the installer and I'm still here! 😁

Same here!

  • A huge thanks to SteveDra for use of his base whites so I could heavily clean and polish this new livery from FSW.  https://flightsim.to/file/70895/n110ve-clean-and-polished Untitled-1 by Ry

  • Just flew the new version of the C414.   Absolutely excellent.   A couple of niggles I had with the AP (such as the AP button animation not working properly) have been resolved. I'd put this C414

  • Nice to see them still working on this aircraft, I think now about year since it was deemed complete -- a sign of a committed developer. I really enjoyed this plane and flew it all over North America

How did you get around Defender blocking the install, preventing it from actually installing?, which is what I & some others have at the moment.

You can disable Real-Time protection which will probably solve the trick.

Personally I'd rather wait for a fix from the developer and disable the virusscanner as a last resort. The last time I believed a developer when he said it must be a false positive I ended up re-installing a client's PC as well as my own.

That will not happen Ron 😀

I redownloaded the installer again and this time the virus warning did not appear again.

Would like to get the C414 updated & out of the hangar.

Could someone kindly advise what the latest version is, & if the Anti Virus interfering with D/Load & install issues have been fixed?

Thanks

That was all back in the mists of time. Long forgotten, a storm in a teacup. Latest version as far as I know is 4.5.0. Put on your big boy pants a go get it! 😀

Nobody, but nobody gets to wear my tutus. That's between me and my shrink. 🤨

A/V universally (all providers) has a known characteristic of identifying a common signature that developers use in their install routines. When your AV flags a common update, from a known and trusted provider/developer, successfully and without harm DL and installed by hundreds or thousands of other users...........  There is a simple method right on that warning popup to bypass the warning,,,,,,and enjoy the update(s).  As Ron said, "pull up your big boy britches and get on with it".  Right Ron?
