I purchased the 414 through the MSFS Store and apparently the update hasn't made it through the system where I'm being allowed to update.

Is there another way to download and install this update with waiting for the MSFS Store to finally update?

 

Time to take it out of the hangar.....

No, sorry, you will have to wait until the update is available on the MSFS store. I expect the update to be sent to the MSFS store soon. When there is a major update, Flysimware waits until reasonable confident there are no significant bugs being reported before updating to the MSFS store because updating the MSFS store is considerably more involved then through the Flysimware store. If necessary, updates through the Flysimware store can even be daily, but not so with the MSFS store where each update can take a week or two.

Purchased it thru the FlySimWare online store when it was first released and have kept it updated.  Downloaded (March 8, 2024 at 10:15 zulu)  the latest version from the website, which the web says is 4.4.4

The changelog in the file I downloaded says:

1. Radio backlighting is now tied to the radio light dimmer slider.
2. The tablet can be stowed after clicking the camera return to tablet.

Bugs:

1. Light effects were having a conflict with the Lear 35 effects if you had both products installed. Fixed.
2. Ambient lighting now turns ON only when DC power is ON, so the flashlight works.
3. New code was added to ensure the altitude capture display in the GFC600 is accurate.
4. The last two recent updates had the wrong CFG entry that caused the TDS GTN750 GFC600 autopilot altitude hold to capture the altitude alerter value. Fixed.

I did all those things before I posted.  The store shows 4.4.4 is the latest but I just deleted all downloads from the store and uninstalled 414aw and then downloaded from the store, unzipped, and installed into community.  

AVAST is totally disabled during download and install.

NOW - I find the change log says:

When in doubt - start over?

Just flew the latest version 4.4.4:-

• The GNS530 version, with the old Navomatic AP worked flawlessly
• The GTNXi version, with the GFC605 AP is an absolute mess.  No modes will arm on the FD. Only after the AP is engaged. Pressing NAV (with GPS as source on GTN) would not work; instead engaging nothing (blank on AP) or GA (go around). When changing the altitude on the selector panel, the altitude on the AP was consistently different.  Hitting VS mode only worked sporadically, and this was all when pressing the buttons on the AP with the mouse - as very few of the key assignments were working.

I'll just stick to the GNS530 version, as that AP with the GTNXI version is badly messed up (still).

That is weird. Version 4.4.4 worked perfectly for me with the GTNXI version.

Are you sure you loaded 4.4.4

 I have several hours on 4.4.4 and the GTNXi has worked perfectly for me as well.

 

I'm getting the Windows Defender "Trojan" warning so will have to try & disable WD, or follow the Youtube instructions in the D/Load notes.

What causes WD to grab some aircraft installs & not other aircraft installs?

When I open the Simmarket App is see two files for version 4.4.4 dated 2024-03-08.

One is the changelog text file and the other one is the updated installer zip file.

I simply selected the zip file and had no problems.
