Great airplane, very fun to fly.

 

A good balance in tech. I find the newer Airbuses to be too automated for my liking. I'm loving this one.

Well, it's released!   What do we think?    I expected a plethora of comments and reviews already (or possibly a new thread) 😄

I've grabbed the update - very fast download - but can't fly yet as I'm taking my son to a Karate competition! 👊

IMO The sound levels and configuration of the PW engines are worse than with the GE engines.   Almost silent cockpit from around 10,000' .... barely even any wind/environment sounds.   It's like the A310 was on release.  Behind this silliness, I can hear really nice quality source files.  Again, it's INI's sound engineer's attempt to be creative with the config.   Loud engines and screaming AC on the ground.   Close to silent once established in the climb.

On my side, with outside view during cruise, the engine sound level is about 3-4 times louder than all my other MSFS plane.

...and the interior sounds are aroud 90% quiter than any other aircraft!  I just don't get why they keep doing this. They did it with the originally released (GE) version of the A300.  People complained and they (slightly) improved it. Now the P&W's sound mixing is arguably even worse than the original GE release!

They never get this plane stable and save and bad Bugs fixes, i gave up already this is unbelievable after what ? - 10 updates..

IMO the INI Manager is so poor.   When you install liveries for the A300, then remove them at any point from your Community folder, the INI Manager does not update.   So it just continues to say "installed" even when you've removed the liveries and even when you've restarted the Ini Manager app.

A full uninstall, removal of all traces of the A300, followed by a fresh reinstall on INI Manager (with the lower resolution textures).

And now I have this:-
 

I'm a pretty modern guy (for a 51 year old).  But pink has it's place.  Maybe on a golf or polo shirt.  But not in my 80s vintage cockpit.

I think nothing is wrong for you, found this on inibuilds A300 forum from a guy :

"just got new version did small flight from omaa to omdb on star engines stutdown and went free dive to earth."

Maybe now the FootS bug is back or never was realy fixed..

My lord it took me too long to figure out where TCAS has gone. Eventually I gave up and did the take-off with TCAS to STBY. 

The PW engines in external view are... loud.

Did you have any issues with the autothrottle in cruise?   Mine just kept accelerating (engine stuck at 96% N1) until the speed tape went into the red and all the alarms were going off!!
 

[EDIT:  Above issue was resolved after two reinstallations]
