Randomly Lose All Controls?

Anyone have this? Randomly. For the first time....I have no mouse, or joystick controls of any kind.

Mid flight. They were working like 2 minutes ago.

Headtracking....everything!

It happened in PMDG 737. Right after I used the tablet to look up charts before TOD.

Now, I get nothing. I can click etc on the tablet but not the plane?

I have no controls at all.

This is not a hardware issue as the compute is recognizing the controls. Its the sim itself.

Have you got the controls mapped via FSUIPC?  In that case, you can recover by pausing the sim, exiting FSUIPC, and restarting it.

It's a known bug of the PMDG bird. Caused by too much AI traffic, that makes the connection between SImconnect and the PMDG crash.

Been flying this plane since release, traffic on or off.....never had this issue before.

I did have head tracking work now that I remember. Everything else did not work.

I do not. Only head tracking was working. Pilot2ATC was working (as it uses the honecomp alpha ptt button).

Looks like its from their latest 737 update, I assume. Otherwise, I've never had an issue with their 737 series.

Have You checked Your USB power settings ?

Check for all USB devices in the Device manager -> uncheck the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Had the same issue with the COWS Da42 as well just yesterday. Plane kept flying, could exit to main menu but otherwise nothing would control the plane. Had to exit the sim.

I had an issue yesterday where certain elements of my controls were not working, such as thrust reverse through my Thrustmaster Boeing and Airbus throttles. I rebooted but have not had time to go back and see if the issue is still there or not

PMDG just released an update (3.00.92) in the last day or so--the previous .91 version was inadvertently compiled and released with bugged old code that had previously been fixed, so if you haven't updated in the last day or so, you'll need to update again.  One of the things fixed in a recent version was a problem with the sim becoming unresponsive to control inputs due to an overflow in the TCAS tables.

And there was a workaround posted quite awhile which I followed and it ended the issue for me. I just turn RA off in the TCAS settings.
