  • Hey, Just to clarify what we did: - Doubled the maximum brightness of the displays, not the default value - Halved the default knob position, giving the same exact brightness on load-in as th

What I (so far) like the most about this newest update is the smoothing of the autopilot pitch changes. LNAV was already very good with the previous version but VNAV was a bit rough at times. Now this

Systems and FM

Hi my name is Aamir and I don’t know why I felt the need to begin that way, but everyone else did. Pretty light on systems and FM updates because the majority of our resources right now are working on the expansion, but a couple of interesting things to note that have made their way into this update -

We’ve improved the ADIRU wind simulation, and by improved, I mean we’ve added one - prior to this it would just grab data from the sim and throw it onto your ND. Now, it’s pulled in by sensors on the aircraft, processed and output. What’s the difference? Well, quite minute - but pretty cool. On a takeoff run above 100 kts, the wind data comes “alive” on your ND, and it will now show mostly headwind or tailwind (since track is almost identical to heading). After rotation, the wind data will swing and start coming “good” as the aircraft weathervanes into the wind. Also, when you give the rudder a good kicking in flight, you’ll now see some variation in the wind vector thanks to how the aircraft processes and displays the wind vector data. Teeny tiny details, really, but I feel it’s nice to look at something like the wind data on your ND and know that there’s something going on behind it all.

Furthermore, we’ve made some very small adjustments to the FBW to make it slightly smoother in pitch while retaining precision, and a couple of fixes to the ground > air blend to make it, as Dave regrettably called it, “creamy”.

new installer layout reminds me of the FBW one.

Has anyone noticed the aircraft wobble (almost like asymmetric thrust) when reducing from FLEX to CLB power on takeoff? Started happening with me after SU15. I installed the new version today and it is still there. I have checked my throttle calibration (TCA Airbus throttle hardware) and reconfigured in the MCDU and checked. The problem persists though in the new build for me.

I am also seeing the cabin crew voiceover cutting out again in this build with the engine starter cutout overriding the safety announcement and losing the safety audio.

So you may get rid of your window blinders

Just starting flight. GPWS system fault light is on, just like before update..

After takeoff, light went out.

That doesnt sound good, it was perfect the way they had it, at least in VR.  Cant speak for the 2d flying.

Regarding the cabin crew annoncement cutover in the flightdeck, in one of the streams V1 simulations mentioned it's correct, happens when the power switches from APU to engine gen .

There is a brightness knob. If you turn the knob clockwise, it makes the screen brighter, if you turn it counter clockwise, it makes the screen darker. The neutral position which is the default is too dark for many.

First flight in a long time with the A 320.  FPS much better than with the B 777, about 10 fps better, at least, both in cockpit and external, and that is with 8K textures on the A 320.

And now I can easily read top line on PFD. spacer.png
