Is KDFW scenery still broke?

You don't need to uninstall all the WU X.

Only the “WU 10 USA - 3D Photogrammetry Cities”

Solved by Jummivana in post #177
Writing this for those that missed it: While we further investigate and fix this issue, as a workaround, you could uninstall “WU 10
USA - 3D Photogrammetry Cities” in order to fix the KDFW Ground texture issue temporarily.

That solve the problem to me.

I don't have “WU 10 USA - 3D Photogrammetry Cities” in my Content Manager.  But I do have “USA - 3D Photogrammetry Cities” installed.  Is that the one you are referring to?

Thanks.

Hi Gary,

Yes, that's the one.

But I think they have already solved this problem, because of your post I installed this option and everything it's OK.

I have the ANISOTROPIC FILTERING -> 16x

and

TEXTURE SUPERSAMPLING -> 8x8

(OPTIONS ~> GENERAL OPTIONS -> GRAPHICS)

I don't know if this settings are important.

KDFW is still broken... especially the east side of the field.  The only known solution of which I am aware is to turn off photogrammetry.

The solution is nearby KDAL, which has multple addons available.  😁

Makes me wonder if there is some form of licensing issue with the DFW airport authority.  Name and Likeness?  🤣

That's right Bryan.

It seems they still haven't managed to solve this problem.

I had to uninstall "USA - 3D Photogrammetry Cities" and then restart MSFS (Quit to Desktop and then start MSFS again).

Unfortunately the only developer working on KDFW is ImagineSim. They took a lot of heat for the incomplete Atlanta. They didn’t even add the new Taxiways or the update the Delta maintenance area. I’ve seen user get blocked off their Facebook page if they bring up Atlanta. I will definitely be avoiding any scenery made by Imagesim.

Imaginesim is now taking pre-orders for KDFW. Just remember how they treated Atlanta and users who asked if they were going to finish it.

I led the way to avoid IS years ago when I purchased KATL for FSX and IS released an update less than a week later.  My request for a no-cost update was unequivocally rejected.  Never even considered any of their offerings since then.

Pre-ordering for a digital scenery...what an absolute joke they are.

I think it goes without saying - if you’re thinking £25 isn’t that much… don’t.

I pointed the missing taxiway out to them.  Amongst other things.  They totally ignored me each time.  Hopefully them making this airport doesn't stop one of the better developers from doing it in the future.
