August 3, 20241 yr So, it's early and the first pot of coffee hasn't kicked in. To use AI Flow/Ground with BATC (sort of) I do this: - Run FSLTL (or injector of choice) - Use the configurator to make sure it aligns with the runways BATC is using - Run Ai Ground/Flow applications - Profit?? 🙂
August 3, 20241 yr 3 trips and really like the combo. I still hear fshud talking in the background to other planes and get Behond ATC to vector me. Still figuring out if Behond ATC is any better then FSHud. Not so sure yet. Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

August 3, 20241 yr I want to hear the chatter and yes the volume is down a little. Make it seem like it's coming from another control center Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

Without getting into the holy war that is comparing ATC, I will say on average I like BATC's UI and how it ovreal handles controlling better than FSHUD. However, with traffic the only good option is FSHUD. Everything is a band aid. I tried using AI Ground this afternoon and had a runway incursion. When i want traffic I am just going to use FSHUD,

You can run the configurator also later/at any time during the flight (or not at all, if the winds are unambigious and MSFS can not possibly choose the wrong runway). Once you click "Save & apply" it will be applied to the current flight (it will take a couple of minutes for the AI traffic to reroute to the new runway, if any) For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Thanks much.

Been using it for a few days, just checking things out like performance, coordination, features, etc. And while FSHUD isn’t perfect (phraseology issues, sequencing errors, weird ground behavior at times) it’s still pretty cool. Then I wondered if it could be used as a traffic controller only, and….yes, it can! Loaded up a short flight in the 73, and loaded both programs. Turned down the FSHUD volume and used BATC for ATC…Now obviously BATC doesn’t see the other traffic, and it won’t sequence you accordingly, but having better separation, flow, and density all while the other planes can “see” you was quite nice. This will of course be obsolete once FSHUD 2.0 and BATC with traffic arrive, but for now, it’s a viable solution in terms of both traffic injection with decent performance, and realistic ATC. I have both FSHUD and BATC, I you have some time , could you give a little tutorial on how to set this up. Thanks

Thanks really not much to set up, honestly. Load into the sim, start FSHUD, start BATC. Let FSHUD just run in the background without interacting with their ATC. Use BATC for your traffic. In the FSHUD menu, you may want to turn down the volume for "com 1" so you don't get cross talk. AMD 9950X3D | 64 GB RAM | RTX 5090 FMR: 747 FO, 757/767 CAPT, 737 Check Airman Current 777 CAPT

There is a configuration in the AI Flow/Ground app. Well, the app is for configuring options but you can run the two sub-apps from there. Honestly, my initial experience wasn't that great. If I want traffic I am better off just having everything in FSHUD.
August 6, 20241 yr I'm confused about this, what does BATC get you that FSHUD and FSLTL doesn't? I often am just to lazy to bother with ATC at all 🙂 but when I do use it I've found the latter pair to be quite satisfactory. I also did buy BATC but have not had any motivating reason to use it, am I missing something?? Thanks, Jack Jack F. Vogel, Delta Virtual Airlines

August 6, 20241 yr Ahhhh, I should've guessed. Something I don't really care about these days, but I know many do. Thanks for explaining. Jack F. Vogel, Delta Virtual Airlines
August 10, 20241 yr Never mind. I can see a tutorial has been given already. Just disregard... 🙂 Edited August 10, 20241 yr by anden145 Best regards,--Anders Bermann-- ____________________Scandinavian VAPilot-ID: SAS2471
