August 23, 20241 yr Yea I'm surprised people are having an issue turning the 73's. Maybe how I execute my turns is not correct or something but never ran into an issue where I wasn't able to keep my plane on the taxiway during a turn. The only thing I noticed is what somiller stated which is don't use full deflection on your controller otherwise your plane will under-steer. As long as I provide slightly less deflection and keep the speed 8-10 kts on the turn, that handles the turns well enough.
August 23, 20241 yr I don't know about the 700/800/900. All I know is that the default ground handling of the 600 is a joke. I bought all the variants, hoping the next one would be fixed. Not even today is it fixed; this is typical for PMDG. They hide behind the mentality that the customer doesn't know or will say it is someone else's fault. It is a sad joke, indeed. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
August 23, 20241 yr At least your adjustments make it controllable on the ground. What puzzles me is how the beta testers failed to notice it. Surely they could not have deemed it to be acceptable? It was like trying to steer a shopping trolley with three wheels missing, and the other one stuck solid!! Why is it so different to the P3D version? That was really nice to taxi. August 23, 20241 yr The 777 is very easy to taxi. I haven’t flown the 737 in a long time but remember the ground handling to be challenging to say the least.

Some might tell you they are great based on the testimony of some youtuber... sadly that's not the case and in spite of attempts to improve it there's still a lot to be desired (or have it modelled externally). Another reality is that not everything beta testers may catch will end up getting addressed by a developer. it takes time and effort and indeed why should they when the crowds keep trying to silence anyone who may point out that their king is naked.
