September 16, 20241 yr i have got better performance and less pauses and no stutters, when using dx12, instead dx11. Thats odd, because i have before gotten better perf. on dx11. 4070 super seems to play better in dx 12 beta, thats odd, but is good.

I've always had better performance using DX12 (not considering FG, just raw performance). The issue with the DX12 was it had more visual/graphical glitches and more CTDs. They seem to have fixed it with the last updates (at least for me). 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel
September 16, 20241 yr Agreed, was always DX11 with 4070Ti Super, tried DX12 with TAA, FG, won’t go back. i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |
September 16, 20241 yr DX12 runs more smoothly, but uses (significantly) more VRAM. If you are limited in this regard, you may run into problems.

The minor glitches are tolerable IMO. September 18, 20241 yr There are no CTD’s in DX12. I’ve not had one now in perhaps over 400 hours since building a new PC with the RTX4070Ti-S. If your hardware allows, no reason not to at least give it a try. September 18, 20241 yr Interesting, I had been running dx12 for a while but have recently swapped back to dx11 as I get less stutters when using lossless scaling.
September 18, 20241 yr DX12 with DLSS and Framegen here too, no more Grafic glitches ( at last i didn`t see any until yet ) Vsync on at 30fps over Nvidia panel, ingame off ( 60 hz Monitor ) and with Framegeneration on you have 60 fps and for me this is a fine option with a good fluid and performance. cheers 😉 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.
September 18, 20241 yr I have not tested dx12 in a long time. I forgot it was a feature. I'm testing it on my next sim flight. MSFS
September 18, 20241 yr DX 12 slows down my fps in VR. In 2D, DX 12 is better. I guess because VR uses so much video RAM (my gpu only has 12 GB). But I only did one test, so maybe it was just a coincidence.
