VFlyteair Twin Comanche for MSFS

Featured Replies

I am having the same issue.

If you can walk away it's a good landing

I've  held off puchasing until the installation problems get sorted.

Any news on that front?

Good morning all,

This is Rich from vFlyteAir. I just wanted to apologise to anyone who has already purchased the Twin for MSFS from Simmarket and hit issues. For some reason, Simmarket marked the product as live for release before we'd had a chance to do a test purchase. The product itself was working fine with our release version (believe me we tested it a LOT), but for some reason Simmarket's installer has done something/doesn't like something, that causes the error you're seeing. We've spent 6 months trying to get set up on the MSFS store and that's been a nightmare too!

It's been a disappointing event for us, especially as we are on hold with the continuing development of our X-Plane fleet as our X-Plane coder is now advanced in years and fighting poor health. We're not abandoning X-Plane, but we'd hoped our first foray into MSFS would have been more positive.

Again, please allow me to apologise. We will get this sorted as quickly as possible, once Simmarket start engaging with us.

Thanks for the update, Rich. The "Twinkie" looks great and eagerly awaiting the purchasing problems to get sorted.

Thanks for clarifying @richieflyus.

Don't stress too much about it, once folks in MS World become familiar with your good products things will settle and gain momentum. Hoping you bring more of your XP offerings over in due course.

We’ve got various plans, for a number of different reasons we needed to get something over the line and into market. We have a number of post release upgrade plans!

one of our big pressures is Igor, our main MSFS designer, lives in Kyiv, and regularly has to work off car batteries when the power goes off. Well, you can imagine…

I see on Just flight’s website this aircraft has had a bit of a re-release now in a more polished state apparently.

The original release was a bit of a stop gap for reasons explained above as I understand it.

I held off buying at the time due to reports of it’s slightly unfinished state, however this was one of my favourite XP GA aircraft .

I’m wondering if anyone who bought it and has recently upgraded to the new version could comment on how they find it ?

The new sounds are really excellent. I feel the price point is still a bit too high for my budget, but the addon jumped quite a bit higher in my to-buy list. Kudos to vFlyteAir for improving this addon. They were one of my favorite X-Plane devs and I'll be happy to see more from them in MSFS.

I just put it in 2024 for fun.

The sounds are absolutely a nice improvement over the first release.

The flight model is very twitchy, almost like a paper airplane.  Maybe it's my settings?

The model and textures is pretty basic - seems like a port from XP.  I understand the troubles one of their lead devs faces though.

The gauges are pretty decent, just some of the other textures are very low res inside.  The knobs on the audio panel and GNS are a little weird... off color or something.

Overall it's an okay addon.
