September 21, 20241 yr If you have FSUIPC, you can monitor the trim and flight control positions using the "log" tab: for aileron trim, log offset 0C02 as S16 (signed 16-bit value) -- should be 0 when centered. for aileron position, log offset 0BB6 as S16 -- should also be 0 when centered. If the aileron position (not trim) itself is not centered, it's most likely due to a bad input coming from a controller. There's a freeware utility on the Leo Bodnar website called DIView that will show you the actual raw values being sent from all your controllers to the PC. @FielderAs an aside, you can easily implement aileron trim centering in FSUIPC with a one-line lua script: ipc.writeSW(0x0C02, 0) put that line in a file ending in .lua in your FSUIPC7 folder (e.g. AIL_TRIM_CTR.lua) and assign the lua script to a button or keystroke of your choice in the FSUIPC dialog. September 21, 20241 yr Author Thank you all for your continued help. I am pretty sure I zeroed out what I could. I have since uninstalled and formatted the drive I use for MSFS. It is currently re-installing. If this does not work I will attempt looking at all the things mentioned again just to make sure I have it all covered. @Bob Scott Will the free version of FSUIPC do the same thing? or will I need to paid version? Thanks again everyone. I will update again once everything is finished.

September 22, 20241 yr Another possibility is that a controller is not calibrated. If a controller (TM pendular, VKB throttle) or so comes with a utility to calibrate it, I would never even install such a utility. I would keep that software away from my computer. Instead I would do it in Windows. And if I had installed such a utility and used it, then I would first uninstall the utility. When I bought my TM pendular pedals, I foolishly installed the TM firmware and then installed and used the TM calibration software. I was going to send the pedals back as faulty and not holding center, until someone told me to plug the pedals into a laptop or any other computer. So I carried my cheap laptop to the pedals and did that. Calibrated in windows on the laptop and reinstalled the firmware on the laptop. Then plugged the pedals back into the main computer. Now the pedals suddenly worked perfectly and held center for over a year now. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. September 22, 20241 yr Author Well, no dice. FSUIPC can't be used like that unless I purchase it. No conflicts that I can see from key binds. Assigning rudder and aileron centering/resetting to my joystick did not work either. I really just don't get it. The odds of two devices (joystick and gamepad) being at fault has got to be super low.

Did you try unplugging ALL peripherals as suggested? Therefore narrowing it down to definitely a software config issue? Russell Gough SE London

Got the sim going and unplugged all but the gamepad. Then made sure I was straight and level and unplugged the gamepad. The right banking started soon after. @flyingscampi I tried a jet and the same behavior presented itself. I'm at a loss. I can't imagine what else it could be. I use a Razer keyboard and mouse, can't imagine that software interfering with the sim. Or my icue software (for lighting) doing that either. The only other software running is webroot (antivirus software) and sound blaster for my sound card. Edit: Just disabled all those process from running and the problem persists. This has got to be the stupidest bug/issue I have ever seen. Just to clarify - if any of you reach straight and level flight and take your hands off the yoke/controller/joystick, do you continue to fly straight and level? Or does it start banking at some point? Just to make sure I'm not confusing normal operation with what I think is an issue. Edited September 22, 20241 yr by Lotharen
September 22, 20241 yr uhm, if you fly level, no autopilot, and let go of the stick, depending on circumstances you will sooner or later bank, oh yes.

Okay, on that line of thought. Should I need to correct the banking every 5-10 seconds or more. It's like I am constantly fighting to stay on heading because every 5-10 seconds I'm 1-2 degrees off. September 22, 20241 yr If I trim the Comanche and let go of the stick it will fly mostly straight and level. It will wander and might slowly bank but this is not consistent like the behaviour you are experiencing. I experienced a consistent bank to the right with a 20 year old CH joystick which stopped as soon as it was unplugged so that was easy to diagnose. Is your computer on a flat surface? Only kidding 😉 Try deleting all bindings to the aileron, elevator, rudder controls. You could also try starting Windows with all non-Microsoft services disabled (using MSConfig). Are you using calm weather sunny skies zero wind at all? That would be a good start. Have you tried a glider in the sky? Trying to remove engine/prop torque is all. Or cut the engine at altitude and float down (in calm winds ie NONE). Does the plane descend in a straight line or turn the SAME as with level flight? We'll get to the bottom of this :D Russell Gough SE London
September 22, 20241 yr Author Okay, so I installed the Sim on my laptop with no updates other than the 130gig one to get started. Same behavior with both controllers. I have gone back to defaults on all profiles as well. So, back to the main computer to figure this out. I will attempt cutting the engine and see what happens. I have minimized the effect with Aileron trim but it isn't ideal I would imagine.
