November 11, 20241 yr Having flown the Fenix A320 since the initial release, it has just occurred to me that we do not hear what is often referred to as the 'Barking Dog' - the noise made by the Power Transfer Unit when it is transferring hydraulic fluids. I understand that this is less likely to be heard on the newer NEO variants. If I recall correctly, I think this was modelled in the P3D FSLabs version of the A320 and could be heard wherever you were in the aircraft - which I guess is not the case in real life, particularly if you are in the cockpit with the door closed. Just a thought, whilst we await MSFS 2024.................................... George Westwell
November 11, 20241 yr The 'Barking Dog' is definitely in the Fenix. You just won't hear it from the cockpit (just like in real life). You need to be in the cabin to hear it before and during engine start.
November 11, 20241 yr Author Many thanks - I will place myself in the cabin on my next flight in the Fenix George Westwell
November 11, 20241 yr Isnt there even an EFB option to turn the sound of the PTU (unrealistically) on in the cockpit? Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

November 11, 20241 yr Tell me you never flown the FBW 320NEO and looked at its EFB options, without telling me you never flown the FBW and looke at its EFB options. Like it has been already said: The PTU is inaudible from the cockpit and what you heard in any other version of the A320 is unrealistic. Edited November 11, 20241 yr by Farlis
November 11, 20241 yr I knew someone that had their beagle in the cabin. The beagle howled back to the PTU.
