For me I run a Steam account and some of the latest AAA games that benefit from the latest drivers. And don`t see a downside in my Flightsims.

I bought and used lossless scaling. Frankly, I could not figure how it would improve my setup which has P3D locked at 37fps, half my non HDR monitor refresh rate.

By using x2 and with GSync disabled you should be able to get 74fps.

I only update Nvidia drivers every few months.

I have LS installed. I have two monitors, one for the p3d, the other for LNM. After the sim boots, I am locked between my two screens, both in non windowed mode. In short is impossible to run P3d or anything else on my computer. The only solution has been to shut down and reboot. Advice appreciated.

@shermank, did you select the option for multiple monitors?

yes but then p3d appeared in monitor 2...not where I want it. It was in full screen mode and no cursor. so, I turned off multi screen and got what I thought would be improvement, but still had cursor and other problems. I am concluding that LS just isn't for me...again, thanks for your help....I don't want to waste anyone's time here.

Someone with multiple displays may be able to help you. That’s the whole point of forums. 😉

I run P3D on my main monitor and Maps and the other stuff on my 2nd monitor.

LS is not started until P3D is up and running. (On the main monitor, where it always has been).

Once everything is running and settled, I activate LS with the shortcut, remembering to move the cursor to the Main screen first and click on it, otherwise LS will work on the second screen and not the first, it can't do both at the same time).

I have multi display mode on. Draw FPS on. Scaling mode set to full screen. And it runs in admin mode.

Then the cursor works on both screens, although it sometimes vanishes on the main but can be brought back to life by quickly clicking on the 2nd screen and the returning to the main.

I struggled a bit at first but now it works like a charm.

Hope this helps.

Well Ray, I guess I am the OP… I have been traveling and not following this thread on a day to day basis. But, now that I am caught up, I can tell you that I have received no benefit whatsoever from the new NVIDIA app. As another poster pointed out, it explicitly does not support P3D…

When I update the driver I go the long route, I.e. Nvidia.com. I download from there and do a  custom install so that I can put the driver anywhere but my overcrowded C Drive.

if the new driver causes problems, I roll back to the previous one.

I decided to try the new App. today. After two attempts to install the latest driver via Cleaninstall, it kept reporting "files missing" so I gave up and went back to a direct download, which asked me if I wanted the original CP.

All went as it always has. It works again with the original CP.

Solution is at TechPowerUp  W1zz will no doubt get the hiccup with new drivers/APP sorted soon.
