Featured Replies

I will wait until the App is not in beta before I use it. Until then I will continue to use GeForce Experience and Nvidia control panel.

The only good thing of the Nvidia app related to P3D is installing the driver. Nvidia made it look nice with a lot of buttons to use but have no effect on P3D. P3D even has a lock symbol on it. It is

I run P3D on my main monitor and Maps and the other stuff on my 2nd monitor. LS is not started until P3D is up and running. (On the main monitor, where it always has been). Once everything i

The Nvidia APP came out of Beta a few days ago.

I downloaded the Rev 1.0 since I had the beta installed and works very nicely. I updated to the latest Nvidia driver yesterday through the app and it was a breeze.

However it does not appear to have all the graphics settings you have available from the Nvidia Control Panel, at least for P3D. I assume for other sims that may be a different story.

I will try and add the P3D program in and see what other settings are available.

For me i added P3dv5 and 6 and i couldnt get it too work ? see how you go with it?

I have been using the Nvidia APP for some time no problem, be aware the old control panel will be discontinued some time in the future.

Control panel has always worked great for me, it has a native Windows interface not some garish multi colored mess stuffed with browser ads.

I could not have said it any better. 🙂

Maybe there is something particular to my install but I tried updating to the new 572.42 Nvidia driver today and I elected not to install the new Nividia app. Subsequently, I found that for the first time since I have used it (for years now), Nvidia Inspector refused to run. I am actually wondering whether Nvidia have done something with these latest drivers to prevent the Inspector from running any more. It would seem though that the only way to access some of those Inspector settings is to install that new app.

Are you using the latest version? The new cards and dlss updates have shaken a lot of settings up.

No, I wasn't! I didn't even know it was still being developed. I will download the latest version tomorrow. Thanks!

Just to confirm, if you are updating to the latest Nvidia drivers you will need the latest Nvidia Inspector. That was indeed my problem so thanks again sloppysmusic.

New Drivers 572.60 and APP updated.

Can someone explain the purpose of this “app”.? When I update my Nvidia drivers I use DDU to uninstall the old ones and NVCleanstall to install only the latest drivers with no additional bloatware. The Control Panel get installed but that’s it.

I use Steam’s Lossless Generation for improving fps. What does this “app” deliver?

I call it that because I’m old school when we call them executables or programs. Apps are for mobiles aren’t they? 🤨
