November 14, 20241 yr I installed the app and quickly noticed an odd, yellowish and pale near transparent quality to P3D v5.4. I probably should have taken a screen shot. But, as much as I tried to work with settings within the app, I could get no appreciable change. I deleted the app and am now using the original Nvidia Control Panel program. Fortunately, P3D colors are back to normal. Just an advisory to fellow pilots. In my case, this was no improvement from Nvidia.
November 14, 20241 yr he Nvidia APP just came out of Beta (I was not beta testing it) so there could be problems. I installed the Nvidia APP v11.0.1.163 yesterday and all is looking good so far. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

November 14, 20241 yr I've upgraded and it works well. Filters are now saving - finally. The only issue so far is the automatic tuning option. I had it tune my 4090 and fired up the sim, and it crashed within a couple minutes. Turned it off and everything is ok.
November 14, 20241 yr I have it installed also but it gives you limited options for filters ajustments in P3dv5 and 6 and says optimise option isnt available for both P3D versions? tho its available for mircrosoft flight sim ? have you guys tried the filter ajustments?
November 14, 20241 yr Author I reinstalled the app and P3D looks fine…as with the previous GEFORCE APP, P3D is not included in it app data base. So, I don’t think it is any real benefit for us sherm Edited November 14, 20241 yr by shermank

November 15, 20241 yr What are the benefits pf using the new app? It is designed for much more sophisticated software than our rather ancient P3D. As I posted earlier, my first installation resulted in odd color...I uninstalled and reinstalled it and everything now looks fine. As for performance adjustments, I think we can do more with the older CP than this one...however, I will wait a few more days and flights before making a final decision. Sherm
November 15, 20241 yr I agree the options available arent as comprehensive as the Nvidia CP ones but on the other hand the new app should be way better in being able to install the latest drivers, which compared to the Game Experience app, was a complete disaster (in my view). I don't know why you have installation issues. I have always done a direct DL and then begun the process. The only change I make is storing the new driver download on a different drive than default location. It has never been a problem for me. Just an opinion.. Sherm

Sherm Well I guess I am lazy in having to open the browser and searching the Nvidia site for the relevant download package. I had thought/expected you could do that directly from the Game Exp app since its already loaded in the Sys tray and then click the Download button since it prompts you for the latest driver, but many times (not always mind you) it did not kick off the install of the driver. Download button was greyed out. Quite a few Nvdia users of the Game Exp app had the same issue so I wasnt alone. If you didnt face the issues as you never used the app, that's good for you, but it was an annoyance to others who did use the old app. SpoilerSystem specs: MFG Crosswind pedals| ACE B747 yoke |Honeycomb Bravo throttleNow built: P3Dv5.3HF2: Intel i5-12600K @4.8Ghz | MSI Z690-A PRO | Asus Dual RTX 4070 Super OC 12Gb| 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200Mhz |Samsung 980Evo Pro PCIe 500Gb | WD Black SN850 PCIe 2Tb | WD SA510 4Tb |beQuiet 802 Tower Case|Corsair RM850 PSU | Acer Predator X34P 3440x1440pMark AldridgeMSFS2024 SU5 & P3D v5.3 HF2
