November 19, 20241 yr Like the incredible actual health and state of MSFS 2020, and its a bit tough beginnings. We will get there sure. Yes, a pity, maybe tomorrow, fingers crossed. I believe and bet for them (Asobo & Co.). Edited November 20, 20241 yr by peloto
November 19, 20241 yr I've always seen launch of 2024 as the beginning of a long maturation process. While obviously hoped the servers wouldn't crash on day 1, I certainly kept it in the front of my mind as a possibility. No worries, though, I spent the day disc golfing, playing with my dog, and doing yard work. Try again tomorrow 🙂
November 19, 20241 yr The difference is, we had no good sim to bridge the gap. Today, I just did a flight in MSFS2020. It's little frustrating, because that in indicator, that there might be bugs within the sim also. But as you said, they will get there and in the meantime we still have MSFS2020.

November 19, 20241 yr I’ve been planning on switching to 2024 pretty swiftly, since I think they’ve learned a lot in four years, but I was never on the list to be a day one adopter lol I’d give it two weeks for the showstoppers to get fixed.
November 19, 20241 yr 13 minutes ago, History said: I cant even start MSFS2020 :D. Guess server meltdown That isn't the case here. I just started up FS2020 and it gets to the main screen in around 2:15, which is about a minute faster than was the case a few months ago, even though I have several newish add-ons in the Community folder. I didn't purchase/install FS2024, however, and I'm a bit surprised that so many folks here seem to be surprised that things have not gone smoothly. This has been the case with FS2020 on so many occasions that it would be a huge surprise if a non-mandatory upgrade like 2024 went off without a hitch. FS2020 is running so well on my machine right now, it may be months before I purchase its successor, attractive as it seems. It may take a while for the truly complex add-ons to work under 2024, and months more for the FS2024-enabled features to work properly in these products. This will all work out in the end, so just have fun with this FS2020 in the interim. November 20, 20241 yr Author "We have worked hard with our partners, including Asobo and others, to bring you an amazing sim experience. The excitement for the sim today has been overwhelming, but we encountered an issue with one of our services handling the new systems in the game like career mode and various missions. The server responsible for handling data requests got overloaded, causing delays and errors. As a result, players are experiencing long loading times and missing content like aircraft. We have solved the issues and are now bringing players in at a steady pace. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. We will keep you updated on our social channels, forums, and website. Thank you very much for all your feedback and support." Edited November 20, 20241 yr by peloto

November 20, 20241 yr Now we know why top developers were releasing things for MS2020 only a week before MS2024 released. They had seen the future and it was dim.
