November 20, 20241 yr Heres a video of MSFS2024 starting up on my computer on day two of launch at around 4pm EST US. I speed up the video to 200% and there is a timer on my cellphone at the bottom of the screen. If this is on day two and load times could possibly be even faster as their servers get smoothed out, I will say I really like the new load time. I get to the main screen in about 1min and 49 secs. Pause it while I decide where to start and then restart the timer which brings me to just over two minutes on the sims workload side of things. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi
November 20, 20241 yr The best part is how fast it is to leave a flight, go to the main menu, and start a new flight. No more multi-minute delays just to try a new plane. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
November 20, 20241 yr Lucky you. I've yet to even get to the main menu let alone complete a flight. This seems to help; they must have fixed US/CA today and will likely work on the rest of the world soon. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

I'm on Starlink and using wifi for my connection. I'm certain it will all get worked out in a few days (hopefully sooner). I just wanted to share that it is a quicker load time than 2020 and has only improved for me since launch. With the timer going, one can base their times comparatively. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi

Loads much faster - once it does Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
November 20, 20241 yr I can get to the main menu but selecting a default aircraft and airport in free flight never loads. I’ve watched that wheel spin for hours. Sure would like to know how people are getting it to work.
November 20, 20241 yr Same load times for me, 1:45 to 1:50 from launch. Really nice improvement. MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.
November 20, 20241 yr Slower [email protected] nets me 2:30 to menu then about another 1:45 to get into the cockpit, so 5:15. SSD drive btw.
November 20, 20241 yr Of course the loadtimes are faster. You haven't clogged up the sim with add ons and especially AIG or FSTL AI models. I bet you that once you do, you'll be back to 10 Minute loading times.
November 20, 20241 yr I'd go ape if I had a 10 minute load time. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

Have you tried it (and has it worked properly for you yet)? 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
November 21, 20241 yr Also, the sim has native models that seem to be really good. Not all the liveries yet, though, but plenty of high quality models. Feels like AIG may have helped out - I recall the developer (Kai?) saying that he couldn't talk about what he did a few weeks ago.. maybe now that it's released, we can get an update 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
November 22, 20241 yr I was right about the loading times. Just to test it, I installed all my MSFS sceneries for just Germany into the sim. That's about 130. Loading times are back to 10 minutes initial load. Activating packages takes forever. So we all will be back to taking coffee breaks during initial load in no time.
