True. And after my initial disappointment I now ONLY fly the new default SF50 because it is indeed more realistic! And it flies better too! The weird fix that FFX applied to fix take off and landing has been removed and it's way better now! I only miss the checklist but I hardly use them anyway. Would be cool if MS Asobo would add the noise cancelling headphones though... (As I type this I wonder if there isn't a default option for that in MSFS2024...?) I really like that the default SF50 defaults to the correct screens now: that bug really annoyed me...! If MS Asobo would fix the few remaining bugs (battery low, lights, etc.) this plane would be perfect. Edited December 31, 20241 yr by mistolip
December 31, 20241 yr The MS version also has a couple of quickview button mistakes (press quickview left and you look up, press quickview right and you look left) that need correcting. I fly my FFX version in '24; I love this plane. I hope that the missing pilot in the cockpit when using external view gets corrected soon also. Ken

You can put on the headphone simulation on in one of the setup screens… I am not at my computer but maybe someone chime in. The checklist missing in the Garmin has been bug logged and will likely be fixed in a future update. Meanwhile, the one in the EFB is SF50 specific.

Yep. I never use it but some really want to have that list on the G3000 screen. Would be cool but I don't really care. I prefer the 2024 version anyway.

However, it's a 'system wide' setting and it seems to simply lower all sounds... Might as well lower the master volume. You can also assign keys to turn headphone simulation on and off (or toggle it) but none of those keys do anything. Bit useless option, it seems. The noise cancelling in the 2020 SF50 was awesome.
January 7, 20251 yr Enjoying the Default SF50 in 2024, however, I've had a couple of flights where the FP is not shown on MFD. Unless I have missed something.
January 7, 20251 yr I've bounced back and forth between the default 2024 and the FFX 2020 version in 2024, but I think the FFX one is the way to go. I haven't really found any issues other than the usual pilot missing (seems to be common in converted planes), but everything seems to work fine. The default one is pretty good, but still lacks the features. I couldn't find any obvious differences between the flight models. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
January 7, 20251 yr I'm using my FlightFX version; other than the missing pilot and inability to use a custom registration number on the fuselage it's working fine. I've attempted to use the 2024 version and it mostly works, but one annoying issue is with a couple of camera quickviews that cannot be fixed or changed. Until that gets worked out in a future update I'll stick with my 2020 version. Ken
January 7, 20251 yr Author Funny, I really prefer the MS version, mainly because the G3000 is more realistic than the FFX one. And I really love being able to walk out of my VJ after a flight. Always missed that in MSFS2020. BTW I do think the MS VJ will receive quite a few updates in the (near) future: I am afraid the FFX version won't. Edited January 7, 20251 yr by mistolip

Last night I flew the 2024 Vision Jet out of ZULS across the Himalayas to Hong Kong and man it was a roller coaster ride. I also noticed how fun the VJet was to fly. And, have you guys seen the "safe return feature" in the MSFS 2024 one? Pressing that button is the last action you have to do before the plane lands fully autonomous at the nearest suitable airport.

As I noted in an earlier post in this thread the “missing features” are actually add-ons not on the real aircraft from a real life owner / operator. The only thing missing is the check list on the PFD / MFD, which will likely be added at some point.
January 8, 20251 yr Thanks for the info, maybe I'll give the default another spin. The default does work fine and get from point A to B. I actually prefer to have a checklist on a real life tablet anyway. One thing I noticed is that it can be really slow to climb as you get close to the ceiling, but according to the thread that might be accurate. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
January 8, 20251 yr I have a very annoying bug in SF50 and not only! When I fly at night there some mysterious source of light appear that highlight part of cabin and panel. It's not a flash light because I can turn in on and off and when it on its light overlays on top of "mystery light". I look to all interior light binding trying to figure out how to turn it off, but nothing fix it. It just lit automatically at night make cockpit too bright and night approaches more challenging 😞 Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). In the SF50 it could also be the icing light that seems to shine in places where it shouldn't.
