November 24, 20241 yr I understood the autolan 'bring me home' option should work. How do you initiate that...? I can't say the default SF50 is an improvement over the payware one... Lots of things not working or missing: - When selecting approach the frequency isn’t automatically set in the radio’s (like for the ILS). This did work as it should in the payware version. - The overhead lights in the cockpit don’t have any effect. - When you import a flight and add a STAR it leaves the departure airport in the plan BELOW the STAR resulting in a weird route. - The plane seems a lot less powerful during climb than the payware version. - Up to take off I constantly see the caution TAKE OFF EMER BAT. What’s that about? - The Flaps speed page is totally missing. It was there in the payware version. - The emergency test is totally missing. It was there in the payware version. - IPS Stall reset is INOP. It worked in the payware version. What are the actual improvements? Apart from the CAPS (which I haven't tried yet)? Lots of things not working or missing: That bring me home button is an interesting piece of technology, I have noticed it in a few private airplanes (I think even some newer TBM have it.) Unfortunately no one has ever recreated a functional simulation for this magic button. 7 hours ago, mistolip said: - Up to take off I constantly see the caution TAKE OFF EMER BAT. What’s that about? That is the battery 2 button that must be switched off. The electric circuit schematics should look like this to get the yellow emergency battery failure removed from the ECAM: 7 hours ago, mistolip said: What are the actual improvements? Apart from the CAPS (which I haven't tried yet) Hm... not sure 🙂 I never had any payware version of a Vision Jet and I am seeing this cute and also strange little jet for the first time ever in a simulator. (Have flown it only once so I don´t know much about it´s systems and stuff, that´s why I cannot answer all questions.)
November 24, 20241 yr The parachute is cool. I did an emergency landing into the pond of Central Park with it today. Edited November 24, 20241 yr by crimplene
November 24, 20241 yr So how do you switch off the emergency battery switch then and how do you do the parachute landing ?? Regards Paul EGCC
November 24, 20241 yr The parachute is activated by pulling the red lever above the pilot. The engine is idled automatically until the plane has a save speed for the parachute. Than the chute comes out, and the plane goes down gracefully.

I'll have to check the checklist. Seems odd.
November 24, 20241 yr How do the FlightFX and Microsoft versions compare? The FlightFX version in 2020 is always a joy to fly.

How do you initiate that...? Hit the big red button on the ceiling. It doesn't take you home, just an appropriate airport. It doesn't always work the first try, you might have to disconnect the AP and hit it a second time. Edited November 27, 20241 yr by Tuskin38

Well from my flying yesterday the Vision jet in 2024. I think they cut a lot out. It is like some basic version without all those neat functions it had in 2020. Really thinking to copy my MSFS2020 Vision jet to MSFS 2024 because it was better in all ways. Checklist on the MFD missing, sounds are somehow cut in the middle and are not that good as they were in 2020. Bugs like some systems do not work as they should. NAV/STROBE Lights are somehow odd. Can not set up the brightness on the screens. When you are doing the move around plane there is one point where you can see through the plane. But overall I prefer more the 2020 version I must say.

This is a known fact. But now it is a default airplane they can't do the support anymore: that's up to MS Asobo.
December 24, 20241 yr According Matt from Working Title, Vision Jet is make developed by several teams. Avionics side is Working Title is redonne all avionic system for 2024 But support is make by Microsoft (like for all MSFS content)not by asobo
December 31, 20241 yr Reading a thread on the official forum an owner / operator noted that some of the features of the FFx version are not actually in the real aircraft such as flap speeds: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/vision-jet-bugs/672861/67?u=cmcollazo71 & https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/vision-jet-bugs/672861/93?u=cmcollazo71 So, the Asobo version, besides the CAPS & Bring Me Home, is actually more true to life in its systems, even if at first it appears not to, as noted below: On 11/24/2024 at 8:07 AM, mistolip said: I can't say the default SF50 is an improvement over the payware one... Lots of things not working or missing Although, the checklist in the Garmin is missing, and should not be, probably fixed by WT as it’s logged as a bug already.
December 31, 20241 yr I'm really enjoying the SF50 in 2024. There's a few things that don't work, but overall the system depth is fine for an enjoyable flight. I'm still learning the 3000 nav system but it integrates well with simbrief and is very functional. Still in the progress of programming into Spad ,but a very fun aircraft to fly.
