December 4, 20241 yr Congrats to Fenix, but this has nothing to do with PMDG as far as I can see. The latter group is constrained by operational considerations imposed by their commitment to all MSFS platforms including XBox. Until MSFS makes the necessary tools available, those folks who are kind enough to act as beta testers for MS/Asobo on FS2024 will have to wait for the PMDG products on the new simulator. Even though I fly the PMDG 737 and 777 90% of the time, I have to agree that the patches that PMDG provides are beyond slow. A bug in the 737 that was reported a month ago, where when you are on descent in Vnav, and enter an approach flap setting, Vnav disconnects. PMDG on their forum has said it is a known problem and they have a fix.. Well, where is this fix? Maybe this year, maybe next year, who knows.
December 4, 20241 yr 22 minutes ago, Krakin said: While PMDG whines, FENIX grinds. Really? What does the OP's post have to do with PMDG? It's about a Fenix patch, mostly directed at their existing 2020 build that is 24 compatible and also has some applicable features specific to 2024 and you have to use it as an opportunity to slag another developer? Why? Even people from Fenix have explained they would be in the same position as PMDG if they were waiting on the troubleshooting tools from MS/Asobo. But don't let facts influence your bashing PMDG for the sake of bashing in a thread related to a Fenix patch. It's like telling someone they look pretty and then for no reason throwing in how their friend looked like garbage 3 days ago. Why? What's the point? Awesome job by Fenix, nothing to do with anyone else! Great job by the Fenix team. Edited December 4, 20241 yr by psolk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Early good wishes for a pleasant holiday season. Wondering what those "operational considerations" are? Just bad business decisions. Fenix has the same tools available, or lack thereof, and is still able to patch their product, regardless of MSFS2020 or MSFS2024, while PMDG is still not capable of fixing known issues. An XBOX platform should not be the reason for not fixing the others. It's the same broken record over and over again while others keep on rolling. Congratulations to FENIX and perhaps a wake-up call for the "competition." 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

Even Fenix explained what the issue is and if they were using the same tools/code as PMDG they would be in the same boat while remaining complimentary of PMDG at the same time. It's not XBox that is the issue. It's a shame that a positive for Fenix has to be spun into a negative against another developer and people can't just focus on what Fenix is accomplishing without slagging off others in the process. It's just unnecessary. Especially in the context of this thread which is about Fenix's patch not PMDG's issues which some people clearly don't understand. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
December 4, 20241 yr The debugger issue PMDG and other developers have mentioned, it does seem it'll be fixed in the next 2024 patch next week. You can see the replies on it in this thread: https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/t/ctd-when-launch-sim-in-debug-mode/11215/12 Vote to fix transparent sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/
