Guy must have some really good flight controls. Wonder what type of system he's running....

It doesn’t look like anyone on the YouTube comments spotted that this was actually a simulator.

That is a worrying thought...

Even worse there were a lot of comments saying what a good job the pilot did..

Another example of people making false statements

That pilot rocks. My dad's a pilot. I showed him this, and he said the pilot was Amazing. He was really impressed.

Total disconnect with reality

Wow! I mean wow! That pilot deserves a medal . He saved so many lives.

Then we wonder why this MSFS2024 is in such bad shape and why people think this is the best. It's just an unbelievable, scary state of mind to see such a disconnect from reality.

747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

I must admit that when I first watched this I was impressed and didn't realize that it was a simulator until halfway through the video.  I was focused on the plane and not the ground, which one can clearly see is not real grass.  The trees look real at first glance as well.

I can't blame most people for believing that this was real after a single watch.

This is clearly fraud, and the channel should be called out for producing or sponsoring fake videos for profit.

Unfortunately, this kind of fake stuff will become increasingly prevalent, especially with AI.  I've seen fake videos of people that look 99% real.

Actually, I stopped counting the number of "simulator" comments after 33 of them. But yes, there were many more "kudos" type comments at this fake video.

To be frank, it took me three viewings before I noticed the unrealistic ground and grass as I was focusing on the plane. There also aren't any cameras at that end of the runway.

I must admit I only skimmed the first dozen or so comments and didn't see mention of a simulator , and couldn’t face reading any more.

I've seen a few YouTube shorts pop up claiming to show various dramatic military aviation incidents from current events in Eastern Europe, however on closer inspection it’s DCS !

As have I. It's quite annoying! I've learned how to identify most of them so I can skip being annoyed...

What some people will do just to hopefully gain 100 thousand subscribers so they can maybe earn some coin!🤑

In real life the drop prior to the PAPI lights would have been a go around, the crew would have been deemed derelict in duty to continue that approach.

I almost posted this exact same observation on another forum, but I got too wordy and decided not to. 🙃

In real life, the key phrase here is "UNSTABILIZED APPROACH CRITERIA" above all else. Additionally, there is a significant issue with people not being able to distinguish between what is real and what is fake. It seems that many individuals spend too much time on iPhones, tablets, and similar devices, leading them to become immersed in that kind of world.

There is another "issue", which doesn't involve pouring scorn on fellow beings.
Is it that the same technology is becoming better and better at simulating reality
and therefore opening up the possibilities of rewriting it.
Even this video, if you concentrate on the aircraft, is very close, especially to the
casual observer who is neither bent on critique, or an avid flight simulator enthusiast.

The producer/creator of this video clearly intended to pass this off as real in order to generate interest and likely financial gain.

You can even hear camera clicks to make it seem as if someone is taking live photographs.

I gladly "pour scorn" on the producer.
