December 9, 20241 yr The G36 seems identical to the 2020 version, except for some texturing changes, but several bugs have been introduced.. The gear lights have changed from green to yellow, the Range knob on the G1000 MFD now operates backwards (like a zoom knob), and the heading knob is no longer clickable to set the heading bug to the current heading. The texturing updates include an ugly light grey yoke, and a visible handle on the side window that somehow missed getting textured. The registration is no longer readable in the cockpit, because the font colour is the same as the background. None of this is "better" than the 2020 version.. Does anyone know who the developer might be? Bert
December 9, 20241 yr It sounds, Bert, that it is best not to know. Isn't the BlackSquare Bonanza going to be updated for '24? The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

December 9, 20241 yr I appreciate you seeking perfection in all you do and endeavor. I will say, you feel you have a bias at this point against the new sim? Just asking….for a friend. fwiw, I’ve seen the same stuff you mentioned in your post. Just seems a bit small to get worked up over. Black Sqaure is actually developping standalone versions of their 2020 products, no longer using the Asobo-based aircraft. They will now be closer to their Duke/TBM 850 in quality. Mario Di Lauro

Just asking….for a friend What exactly does this mean? What an earth does 'bias' mean in this context? We've bought a new thing. We've bought it as it was advertised and sold as better than the old thing. So far, by almost universal acclimation, it actually falls rather short of the old thing but the potential is obvious. What has been brought over into 2024 from 2020 is actually supposed to work as it did previously but it's glaringly obvious that it does not. I would like this fixed....and so would my friend.

The electrical system is wrong as well; The G1000 does not boot when the master switch is engaged (both screens turn on after switching the avionics master). In MSFS 2020 engaging the master switch turns on the PFD, like in the real plane. The MFD boots when turning on the avionics master, after engine start. So the MSFS 2020 Bonanza is 'as real as it gets'. The MSFS 2024 version is a step back unfortunately. Cheers, Bert AMD Ryzen 5900X, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3080 Ti, Windows 11 Home 64 bit, MSFS 2024
