No issue if the display is calibrated.

And how many users do calibrate their monitor? I would bet 95% of all people sitting in front of a monitor do not even know that this thing can be calibrated...

I noticed the white-out clouds (and often scenery) in the very first youtube uploads of FS2024. I kept thinking why are these people saying it is so much better than FS2020, when all I see is a terrib

I am 100% behind you on this one...it drives me nuts, ruins what should be a good flying experience...it's pretty bad when flying outside the plane is better than in the cockpit. Xp12 also has th

  • @Rocky_53 ... I totally agree. I've always hated the eye adaptation "feature" with a vengeance. I accept that it's a complex problem (that our eyes are better at it than any hardware) but other sims d

I'm one of them.

And I don't care! 😁

Indeed. I actually saw a conversation on here, people talk about "calibrating" by essentially eyeballing their settings, then lathering on some vibrance in Nvidia control panel and then calling it a day. Then you always gotta take people's opinion of what they see on screen with a grain of salt.

No idea how many, but hopefully some will investigate hardware calibrating their monitors after seeing my post.  Colours, brightness, contrast and all the other manual adjustments people make are not required with a calibrated monitor.

It's the same with the term 'washed out', which seems to mean everything from black and white to oversaturated.

Washed out generally means rendered indistinct when applied to images. That incudes a lack of vibrance, or flat shades, or grey, or lacking in contrast, or sharpness, or clarity. That might included being grossly over or under exposed. I agree it isn't the ideal description but on the other hand it points to an unsatisfactory image.
