I've had a sniff round in the settings, but can't see a way to turn this text box off when going walk-about. Anybody know if it's possible?

Not possible. Hopefully they will fix this because it is quite annoying.

A toggle on a key combination like 'Ctrl-Tab' would do it.  This is one of the problems with Asobo.  They just don't seem to understand these kind of things; either that or they don't care.

We waited four plus years for a toggle to get rid of the handlebar, but no joy.  We have to download cod from FS.TO to get rid of it.  

hopefully, someone can do the same with this annoyance.

I searched the official forums for this a little while ago, don’t think it’s possible yet. Hopefully some freeware mod can resolve it, so that we can take awesome 3rd person screenshots without having to worry about the silly thing getting in the way!

I mean, why would I ever want to “toggle EFB” when I’m on a walkabout enjoying the scenery?

I asked the guy who did the Handlebar mod for 2024, if that was possible to remove, he said;

So part because it's the new encrypted structure and part being tied to the rest of the UI, thus removing one you remove everything. So someone either has to just find a graceful workaround or wait until Asobo opens up the files / modding ability a bit more

Thanks folks. I suspected this was the case. Another little annoyance to live with for now. Pretty minor irritation, but I was just getting in to the swing of this walk around lark! I guess I'll just ignore it for any screenies or if I get a really good one, edit it out.

Ah yes. Reminds of that annoying white dot. Back in the good ol’ days when I still participated over at the official forums, I was part of a small band of rebels campaigning to get rid of it. Come to think of it, I think we succeeded 😁

What was that gem from way back on boot up - "Keyboard not detected - press F1 to continue" or something like that. There are times when you think they must be having a laugh.

I'm late to join this thread, but for such an overall brilliant series of simulators it seems like the people at Asobo don't actually play their own game sometimes.

SU 2 : TAB Toggle EFB will be blaze orange and size 42 fount.
