January 19, 20251 yr Wondering if anyone has been able to get this EFB to work with FS2024. If it only works with 2020, I guess I will be staying with 2020.

If I understood Urs correctly sone aspects of airports cannot be read correctly even in 20. Why did Asobo feel it necessary to change the structure of 24? Ray (Cheshire, England). Why did Asobo feel it necessary to change the structure of 24? I have flown in Airports all over the world, with the EFB, never had any problem. Why Asobo changed the format for 2024, is beyond me. To me, the EFB is way more important, than scenery at 500 feet agl.

Yes, since Aivlasoft is no longer a going concern (https://aivlasoft.com/#1643tab2), it is never going to work with 2024. You can stick with 2020, or use Navigraph or LittleNavMap as recommended by Aivlasoft on their home page. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

January 20, 20251 yr Sure, stick with whatever you like. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

Looking through some Aivlasoft EFB videos, I am strongly reminded on the the new MSFS 2024 inbuilt flight planner. At a first glance I haven't seen what Aivlasoft would offer fundamentally more. Considering the high quality real world charts in 2024, Aivlasoft might be easy to retire. Also, the 2024 flight planner is under active development, Aivlasoft not. It would be interesting to have a feature list and see the precise differences.

I do wonder though how you use the Aivlasoft EFB and why it's so important to you: what exactly does it offer that you absolutely can't miss? Sincere question btw. 😉 EDIT As fsiscool posted it might well be possible that MSFS2024 offers by default what 1. MSFS2020 didn't offer and 2. Aivlasoft EFB added for you. It would take me a long time to list all the features that I use daily with aivlasoft, so I see no point to it, since it is not for sale anymore.
January 20, 20251 yr Aivlasoft EFB installed for MS2020 is working with 2024 as long as 2020 is installed. When you start the EFB Server you will get a warning "Database disagree, would you like to start the DatabaseBuilder?". Don't do it. Start the Client anyway and and push the "no" button on the warning twice. (FSUIPC is 7.51) Regards, Andreas Gutzwiller

January 20, 20251 yr Aivlasoft EFB server: Database selected = MSFS.NG-2413/R1. That's latest Navigraph database. Is that different for 2020/2024? Regards, Andreas Gutzwiller
January 20, 20251 yr I remember now why I never bothered with this EFB. I try to stay away from complicated and costly installs that required a server to run. So much has changed since the days of P3D for me. Having said that, I read that on a thread that an AVSIM was interested in taking over the server. I guess it never happened. MSFS has it's own excellent flight planner and a tablet that displays all the required info. Avilasoft doesn't look like an essential add-on for MSFS 2024, but I don't mind being proved wrong. MSFS
January 20, 20251 yr Seems to be a misunderstanding. Aivlasoft EFB program has two parts: Server and Client. They are both installed on your computer. There are no "costly installs that required a server to run". Regards, Andreas Gutzwiller
