Excellent - so now we know.  Well done ASOBO for the poor implementation.

What is poor about it? You just need to turn it off. Couldn't be more obvious.

If you click the suction pad it does nothing, if you "turn off" the ipad it disappears but leaves the suction pad and arm sticking out and in some aircraft they're right in the way of the window to see the pretty rocks and grasses....!

It's poorly implemented and cleary a half finished item, needs more work.

Why does it require a link to a video???

Just tell us how it's done!

@St Mawgan

I personally think, people who feel the need to announce that they will put someone on the ignore list are just as obnoxios as the people they put there.

Just quietly do it and keep it to yourself. No one cares.

Like I said: No one cares about your personal ignore list.

Just use it, but use it quietly. Don't announce to anyone who you are putting there. Everything else is just coming across as petty.

You seem to.

In the absence of hiding threads which is the best thing about the official forum and something I really wish they had here, ignoring users with nothing useful to say is a very positive thing on Avsim. It would have been unbearable here the last few months without it.

Still not my point. It's people announcing to the void or the soon to be ignored, that they are going to do it, instead of just quietly doing it without the need to tell anyone they just did it.

What does this kind of announcment going to accomplish?

The person who it will happen to will not suddenly say: "Oh no! My life has all gone wrong. A random anonymous guy on the internet is telling me that he is going to put me on the ignore list! What am I going to do now? I have to change my ways!"

And for the rest of us, what do you expect us to say: "You sure showed him!"?

So to get back to the thread then, this is the default C172 with the tablet removed showing just how much the suction pad is in the way of the view -

and this is the XCub -

These are the only two default aircraft I have kept so maybe in the other aircraft that suction cup covers most of the window? Please provide screenshots if so.

The suction cup should go away with the efb. Simple, and makes sense.
