Absolutely, this is what the OP wrote at the Orbx forum, where despite writing this here: Quote I'm just raising a stink here because posts on the Orbx forum have to be approved to be published! his post is approved and there for anyone to read. He has assumed that all posts need to be approved, in fact it is just the first five. This is to allow spammers to be detected and dealt with without the genuine customers having to read what the spammer wrote. In point of fact, he had all of his purchases installed on his computer but chose to delete them along with MSFS 2020. Quote Yes of course, I uninstalled all the addons before deleting 2020 and installing 2024. While I can understand your point of view, I don't accept having paid for addons and not being able to download them even though I no longer use 2020. These addons are my property and I should be free to install them on 2024 if I wish. If that's not available or possible via the Orbx app then there is an issue. If it's as simple as choosing the other sim and everything is still there then it was user error. Either way it's understandable to be upset if you think you can't download your prior purchases just because you changed sims. As long as he still has access then no issue. If you understand where he is coming from you should be able to understand why he is upset. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

March 13, 20251 yr I understand that you are all upset and I understand why. I am just trying to suggest that as there is a fairly straightforward way to get the products back, it does not make much sense to berate Orbx for a system that has been in place for eight years. As a reminder, here it is: How to Use MSFS 2020 Add-Ons in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Including Orbx Central He is not the first person to raise this issue and I doubt that he will be the last. I am the type of person who, when faced with a problem, looks for a solution, rather than complaining that the problem is there. I expect that we will just need to agree to disagree in this case. March 13, 20251 yr If you look on ORBX forum, they list all 2020 products they will or will not work in 2024. I check it frequently to see what's available and install using ORBX central. Being that they also distribute other developers' software, they cannot make it 2024 compatible until the developer gives them the oaky. Maybe what the OP should have done was keep 2020 on his computer until all the dust settles with 2024. I mean even if I set a folder which I did btw for 2024, I still see no 2020 purchases. Only the 2024 stuff. But will happily check later. And report back. in general they should let ME decide what to install where. They can happily add a 2020 sticker. Or 2024 compatible. Once again, Orbx Central has worked in this way for eight years, so it shouldn't be a surprise to find that if you remove a simulator, it and its products no longer show in Orbx Central. The other side of this point of view is that the customer themself removes access to the products by removing the simulator, but that will just produce more howls of " they should let ME decide". The solution is there, but it does not suit the tone, or purpose, of this topic to accept, or use it.

So do I, but ORBX won't let you install PD3 software into 2020. Everything I purchased for 2020 from ORBX I have access to. But ORBX won't allow you to install 2020 stuff that's not compatible for 2024. Simmarket, Aerosoft and just flight PD3 installers will not install into 2020. I don't care how long it's been like this, that point is completely irrelevant here as MSFS2020 and MSFS24 are cross compatible. Therefore ORBX Central should've been updated by now to utilise products bought in the former to be loaded with the latter - that's the issue.
