Well 😕

Didn't last for long...

I use the A380 in 24 and I’m loving it. Have you tried reinstalling 24 (if that’s the sim you’re using)?

Since some updates to the (dev) FBW A380 (4k) a few weeks ago, my "weak" system can no longer handle the CPU/GPU demands of this add-on. I really liked it, but I can't use it any longer unless I upgrade my PC big time. 😞

System specs: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit; Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.40GHz; 16,0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 802MHz; 8 GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (NVIDIA)

It's amazing to me how much of what is in the ini350 appears to be in the FBW380 as well.

Does anyone have a systems depth comparison on the 350 v the 380?   I wonder what the $80 difference gets you other than the 380's gear seems to work LOL

Worked perfectly in MSFS while the A350 was in development. Now it is uninstalled as well but for different reasons :)

PS: It's one butt-ugly aircraft too.

I wonder what their plans are performance wise. I feel kind of bad while saying this (freeware, you know?), but they need to start finding ways to improve this situation. All the good aspects can not be enjoyed with such bad performance.

cheers,

It’s a slow and steady race but we made it clear from the start that graphical fidelity was the forefront and optimisations would come later when time freed up.

Regarding performance and system requirements in this open alpha period, please note that the current 3D model and system code is not yet fully optimised, and we are pushing the limitations of the MSFS 2020 Engine in both graphical fidelity and system depth.

Don't worry !  Couldn't resit at least downloading the IBERIA livery for the -900 and start at the gate in LEMD.

First impressions rather positive.

Taxied and took off without having completed all of the flight preps, so I knew I was up for trouble but the manual flight feel was rather convincing, and the impression I had got from the taxi / ground physics was actually better now that I have it "in my hands" 🙂

O café é sempre uma boa ideia um destes dias lá pelo metoffice de LPPT 😉

Do you plan on making it FS2024 exclusive at some point? After all with the new LOD system of that sim it should be easier to make the add-on more performant.

That's being looked at but before that could ever happen we would want to leave the FS20 variant in a place that we're happy with before fully committing to the FS24 exporter. So ultimately actual optimization needs to be done before utilizing the modular system because the modular system in of itself needs optimized models to really be its most performant.

Well

yesterday I completed a full LPMA - LPPT flight under the "Martinho" storm 🫣 which hit strong over the Iberian Peninsula...

I still have to learn this new / modern Airbus panel, common to the latest A380s. I am used to years of the same up to 321 LR panels which don't differ that much and once learned are stored forever in our memory, but these new fully "interface" is different...

Overall the aircraft behaved nicely in as far as performance goes. Very fluid / smooth, not a single hint of stutter at any phase of flight.

I am using only default scenery, and my frames are capped at 30 FPS through Riva Tuner.

Glad I purchased this A350 🙂

Yes, definitely a learning curve with the A350/380 (when coming from the A32x), but at least those two are very similar. I don't use the A380 though.
