Native 2024 C182Q

It is nice to see a full Carenado release again rather than the cut down local legends/famous flyer type we saw for 2020. I'm tempted.

edit - I caved 🙂

second edit - I'm not seeing the pilot or the reg number. Why Carenado, why?? And I was wrong, you don't get the full tablet you used to get, just the option to change the avionics.

Should have bought that Piaggio instead.

Although not A2A or BlackSquare quality, I have always enjoyed Carenado aircraft.  they look good and fly reasonable well.  I am interested how this aircraft performs considering it is a native 2024 p

I notice the glass of all the gauges has a milky look, not clear.

Is this actually a 2024 thing?, it seems to affect all aircraft in my setup to a greater or lesser degree, certainly any aircraft I can make a direct comparison with in 2020 shows the 2020 version to be clear and the 2024 version less so.

Try a PC reboot.

If you're not seeing a reg number it could be because you're using NBSP 3x characters in a aircraft.cfg or in the sim UI (this is what I do to try to delete the dynamic registration from my hand painted liveries).

No dice. Still no reg, no pilots and I can't open the pilot door. It also feels incredibly lightweight and very sensitive on the controls to me.

I can see the pilot and copilot from the outside and the copilot in the interior view and I can open the door. Try to uninstall and reinstall the aircraft. For the registration to show you need to add it in the identification tab on the aircraft config page. It shows on mine.

It's just not working. I've tried loading the pilot, copilot in the EFB both pre-flight and on the tarmac - they don't show up for me. Same with the reg, on the aircraft config page - the number is shown, the same one I use on everything else. I even re-enabled the 182RG to check and the reg and visible pilots all work as it should on that one. I've also disabled and re-enabled this one several times but, nothing.

I think I know the answer but is there an intent for this and future Carenado products to also be made available for 2020? Thanks!

Carenado has already responded to me and are looking at the bugs.

@St Mawgan what happens if you start on a runway vs starting on the ramp?

Same results. I've disabled it for now and will come back to it later. It made me rediscover the 182RG which is better, I think.

Quick question. How did you change from the standard GNS to the GTN750Xi (tdi)?  I’ve got the tds GTN750Xi software installed. Unable to find how to switch in cockpit.  I’m sure it’s easy.  I’m just missing how to do so. Thanks very much.

In the EFB, you have a Carenado button there.

In the default EFB, the last page has a Carenado section

The 182RG landing and taxi lights are bugged though. Same with the M20R.

Doesn't bother me anywhere near not having a pilot or my own reg number.
