Hey everyone, how are you? I decided to come here since flightsim.com is a green light for bullies, and this one is more active for P3D, here is something that I made for the PMDG 747-8 on P3D, you can get it on flightsim.com and I will upload it to avsim library soon. https://www.flightsim.com/files/file/212293-pmdg-747-8f-national-cargo-2025-fictional/. Sorry for linking another website but I don't see an option to show a screenshot.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

Just a note. Imgur recently emailed all its users with a new TOS that explicitly 'forbids' use of its platform as an image host for other forums or users personal Web sites. I've had many images linked here deleted already. Some of the other places you list MAY have similar policies but I'm unaware. IMGUR want you to browse their site as a portal not as a free storage solution. Which is fair enough.

I'd love a subscription model at avsim for people to host images here. It would actually drive traffic INTO the site as well, paid for by users.

If avsim were partnered to an image hosting site it would feel a little less 'cheap'! 😎

I would not have taken notice without your post. The threat is to delete your account, if you don't follow their termes. Ok, then go on Imgur. I hardly understand how they make money, since I do not post there. But yes, it's sad Avsim does not provide space for sharing pictures. Maybe with a limited amount of pics per month to get things controlled.

There is a guide in the screenshot forum but... As it gives you step by step instructions that break the TOS of at least one image host (imgur) I'll let an admin post it 😏

If the guide has been changed recently to reflect said TOS I apologise!

I used to use Imgur, but after their TOS change, I went to Flickr. The only limitation is that I only have 1000 photos.

I think I stay with imgur until they delete my acount. Maybe they also change the links, that it's no longer so easy to use.

That's a test of Postimage. Seems to be very good. Easier than imgur. Thanks

Glad to be of help.

Advertisers here have no problem posting their images, gifs, videos .. often covering up entire AVSIM threads so it’s impossible to read a thread.

Advertisers control most websites sadly, which detracts from their usefulness … even if you block them most website will not let you continue until you unblock the malware called “advertising” … remember Honey Pot?

Self inflicted reality because no one wants to pay for anything they see on the web … the irony.

Dropbox is an option. You have a few Gb of space free of charge. It’s a bit more complicated but should work.

To ensure the image can be seen - locate the text ?dl=0 within the Linked Image URL and change it to ?raw=1.

I believe that is the complicated part! Assuming you've already created the shared link 🔗😎

I agree it’s not straightforward but with regular use should become easier.

But the suggestion AvSim host images for a reasonable fee is worthy of consideration. A letter to the management is recommended.

Personally I use Steam given Steam lets you add a non-steam game, which then includes screenshot storage options as part of your steam membership.

I'm a Steam member by virtue of FSX-SE (and many other games).

I've added P3D as a non-steam game, use Reshade to take screenshots (optional, P3D's screenshot option is also fine) and SteaScree to prep those screenshots and move to Steam client local storage, then use the Steam client itself to upload to Steam's cloud storage.

The web URL of your screenshot is then used to paste into AVSIM or other sites where a URL link is required to paste screenshots.

Here's one I uploaded today (DHC2 @ Tamworth NSW Australia)

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

Of note Steam has been mucking about with their steam client screenshot and screen recording options (much like NVidia have been doing), with results that many users feel are less intuitive and more suited to a touchscreen fat thumb & xbox controller interface...

"broh software devs" making change for change's sake 😉

Cheers
