Moving to new PC tonight. Any tips/tricks for back-up?

All options are always stored in the cloud every time you close msfs2020 properly. I would move community into the new installation 1/2 of them at a time. If msfs won't load, then remove 1/2 of that 1/2. Which will mean you know which 3/4 are now safe, and in which group of 1/4 the culprit lies. And then 1/8, and then 1/16.

Obviously, there are differences in other settings. I run @ 1920x1080 resolution. Most of my settings are HIGH. I use a static aircraft generator to position my massive database of AIG AI planes, so I do not have any moving AI traffic. In addition, I can also live with framerates way below 60fps without thinking that the world is about to end

Active AIG planes with PSXT in action would bring 60% hit on a top your FPS with statics.

New machine will be ready tonight, so I'm just curious what I would do to save settings/set-up etc in MSFS2020?

When I reinstalled Windows a month ago, first I backed up my UserCfg.opt and all my cameras.cfg in %appdata%\Microsof Flight Simulator, and my GSX configs in %appdata%\Virtuali\MSFS. I didn't care about my exe.dll.

Also, I uninstalled all the non-Marketplace addons that needed some kind of licensing (i.e., A2A, Fenix, Maddog).

I had the advantage that my MSFS was in a separate SSD. When I reinstalled Steam and executed MSFS from there, I simply had to point to the new location. My FSUIPC settings were also left in the same MSFS SSD, so I only updated the settings with the corresponding GUIDs.

Why is it that some people with powerful PCs run MSFS with TLOD so low? I have TLOD set to 250 on the PC in my signature, and I can take off and land at IniBuilds Heathrow just fine.

How do you do that? And how much traffic and which plane do you use? I can't keep 30 FPS steadily at LVFR KMIA with 70 planes in FSHud (20 active and 50 parked), Active Sky and the iniBuilds A300; I always get stutters. That's with TLOD=100. Settings in signature.

EDIT: I've just seen why:

Where did you get this generator? The only one I can think about is FSLTL, but it has its own planes. FSHud with only parked aircraft is still too FPS-heavy.

99503XD with 5070Ti + 64GB RAM. Don't care much of MSFS 2024 as of yet, as MSFS 2020 is my top priority. Really want to increase TLOD to 150 at EGLL and KJFK with Fenix/PMDG/AIG/PSXT with this machine. I'm not at 4k, rather at 1440.

I'm moving from 9900k/5.0 and 4070Ti and 32GB RAM. It's been since 2018 with exception of 4070Ti.

Nice I went with 9800X3D and 9070XT. Using Optiscaler to get fsr4 and also dynamic LOD. So far working great.
