October 31, 200817 yr >Is the Eaglesoft Citation X a true FSX model? Checked the>file?eaglesoft's CX is FS9 made to work in FSXsp2 in non-DX10preview mode. eaglesoft has not hidden this fact. i quote, "DX9.0 users will experience full FSX/SP2/ compliance with [the] Citation X 1.0." source: http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/Corporate_AviationX.htm)the eaglesoft CX 'version 2' will be a FSX native plane.-- D. October 31, 200817 yr To clarify: Our website statement follows..."DX9.0 users will experience full FSX/SP2/compliance with Beechjet/Hawker 1.5, Premier1, and Citation X 1.0."....................................................................The FSX Citation X 1.0 and Premier1 will not be rebuilt to FSX Fully Certified Status. The BeechjetHawker 1.5 is the only one of the three listed which is scheduled for FSX Fully Certified rebuild at no cost to current BeechjetHawker 1.5 owners.....................................................................What this means for the customer is that when BeechjetHawker 1.5 is made FSX Fully Certified we will have our entire General Aviation and Corporate Jet Catalogs FSX Fully Certified with the exception of Citation X 1.0 and Premier1.It has taken us nearly two years of hard work to bring our entire catalog to FSX Fully Certified status at no additional cost to current owners and that is something we are very pleased to accomplish :-).....................................................................Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0 for FSX is already FSX Fully Certified prior to release and ALL future FSX/FSNext Aircraft will be FSXFSNext Fully Certified.
November 11, 200817 yr Hi Bill,I have the CII/SP for FS9 and I love it! I wonder if you could tell me if it has auto throttle or not. There is an IAS button on the AP Mode sub-panel and the ESCII manual shows it lit but mine won't do anything at all. Where can I get more detailed info on this button? What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance,Dolph

November 11, 200817 yr I'll try to be brief and concise Dave. First the basics...We and all other developers originally ported over FS9 aircraft in order to meet demand for FSX aircraft. That was common practice until FSX SP2/DX10 was released which is now the FSX Certified Standard that we all must meet in order to be foward compat with FS Next. From FSX RTM we formed two catalogs at separate price points. Customers have the choice of an FS9 or FSX product but none are so called "Dual Sim" Versions at one pricepoint except the recent release of the Raytheon Premier1.Now to answer your question:All of our FSX General Aviation Catalog is FSX Certified.Nearly all of our FSX Corporate Aviation Catalog is FSX Certified. The only exceptions are the CX1.0, Premier1, and Beechjet 400A.As mentioned, the FSX Beechjet 400A is scheduled to be made FSX Certified at no cost to current FSX Beechjet owners. To our knowledge NONE of our FS9 Aircraft can be ported to FSX without problems ranging from minor to major. In addition, we will be phasing out our FS9 Catalog in some manner over the coming year. Please note: Some development houses promise free FSX aircraft when they really only offer FS9 portovers. We long ago decided that all of our FSX products are/or will be FSX Certified as we plan for FS Next since that is the only format that has a chance to be forward compat thus avoiding the fiasco we all experienced last time:-)Hope this helps.
November 11, 200817 yr Ok, thanks Ron. Got the answer I was looking for, but not the one I wanted. I wasn't a registered user so nothing showed up in the Eaglesoft forum. Duh. Can I possibly mod this plane to have auto throttle? Even a speed hold would be cool with me, I don't have to have ultimate realism.Dolph
November 11, 200817 yr Dolph, let me encourage you to register and login to our support forum, ask away, and browse as long as you like:-)

Duh. >Can I possibly mod this plane to have auto throttle? Even a>speed hold would be cool with me, I don't have to have>ultimate realism.>DolphIf you want to keep "ultimate realism," then don't worry about either autothrottle or speed hold, since the real CII doesn't have them! The original FS9 release of the CII did have both functions operational, but after having had it pointed out by numerous real life CII pilots that "there ain't no such thing" on the actual a/c, I removed the code and made those functions INOP, just like the real one......all in the name of "keeping it realistic." ;)During the time the CII was in production, Cessna simply used the same "generic" AP Mode controller on most of it's product lineup, the higher priced versions of which had those functions operable. November 13, 200817 yr Thanks Bill. My point is I would like to have it. Can I mod this plane to have it?I have freeware planes (CII included) with auto throttle and I like the feature even if it aint real. I promise not to use it all the time, only when I want to.

Though as Ron has suggested, registering to use their forum is probably the best way to find out.Paul Cheers Paul Golding
