May 10, 20251 yr ChasePlane looks good and I may still buy it, but it's disappointing that we still struggle to do things we were doing in FSX fifteen years ago. I think the //42 developers are missing a big opportunity here! MarkH https://www.youtube.com/@AlmostAviation AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D / 64Gb DDR5 / Zotac RTX 5070 Ti / 2560 x 1440 display
May 10, 20251 yr Your personal opinion would suit very nice in this already existing thread: Cheers, Bert AMD Ryzen 5900X, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3080 Ti, Windows 11 Home 64 bit, MSFS 2024

May 10, 20251 yr ring ring.... hello, is your plane running? yes. Then you had better go chase it! 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. May 10, 20251 yr I am still exploring CP but the first two things that convinced me it was money well spent were the human physics in the cockpit (and pax views) - in combination with Realturb - and the ability to steer the aircraft on the ground while in chase/spot view. Naturally the infinite freedom of adjusting the camera views in the flightdeck to exactly the angle you want is a big factor as well. I'm sure I'll discover more ways of tailoring the programme to my heart's content eventually. I almost forgot...fly-bys and cinematics! Now if only //42 could develop and integrate a decent and easy to use replay function in CP that would be the cherry on top. May 10, 20251 yr The fly-bys and cinematics may yet convince me but most other CP features i have set up myself in 2020 as I had in P3D with CP. But looking forward to having it in 2024. I installed it in 2020 and did a few flights and loved it but need to learn more about its power. Someone in the other CP thread said you can program a different view for a second button press of the same button which sounds cool. For example you hit a button to show the MCDU level, and on the 2nd press you zoom much closer to the target avionics or what have you. I do love the fly-by and their cinematics mode. And haven't used Tower view yet as I....jumped back in to 2024. I hope //42 does an update fast! 24's beastly controller configuration may slow that down a tad but the develop has done an awesome job in the product and well worth the cost IMO.
