OMG I recognized it from the thumbnail picture!

I've flown there in the sim.  The Aerosoft BeaverX took three go-arounds but I finally got it on the runway and stopped. 🙂 I've got screen shots somewhere.

FSX/P3D doesn't have the runway quite right. You have to dodge around the hill making the landing even harder.

Saba is a major landmark for me in sailing sims.

One of my favorites, also!  Never could get the A-380 stopped in time!

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

Why is there a white X in that turning area if the aircraft is allowed to use it?

Because there's only a handful of pilots certified to land there. Anyone else should not even try to do so, and that's why it's marked as closed.

Or at least that's my guess...

The X is on the displaced threshold not the runway itself, the displaced threshold is not part of the runway it is there for overshoot and can be used to taxi on or takeoff but not landing, an X on a runway absolutely means it is closed

I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

They talk about it in the comments.

Basically, the airport is closed to traffic, but there is a small airline or two licensed to use the runway.

Luis is basically right.

Jeepers...... there was no margin for error on that takeoff, he was right at the end.

I'm suprised it's allowed.
