July 18, 2025Jul 18 Just bought it. It was only £22.99 from Just Flight, and noticed it has already been updated to v1.1.0. Nice! v1.1.0 - Cockpit lighting intensity reduced for more control with rheostats. - Fuel gauges corrected for more accurate U.S.Gallon/British Gallon conversion - Prop feathering corrected - Missing parachute pack textures replaced - VSI needle corrected - ADF needle position corrected and textured. (was pink) On RMI - Small texture improvements throughout VC - Tailwheel castoring angle changed for better castor - Bank indicator on AHI now animated correctly Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

August 1, 2025Aug 1 My first Aeroplane Heaven purchase for MSFS2020, and for a few years before that. I really like it - an awful lot of hard work has gone into it, and the result is very pleasing. Is it perfect ? I wouldn't know because while I love the Lancaster, I'm not an expert on it. Besides which, perfect aircraft are an extreme rarity in any flight sim. Nevertheless, when I land, taxi in and shut down, I'm left with the feeling that I've just 'flown a Lanc'. Well worth a punt, if you are so inclined. It 's already had a few updates to address things such as feathering etc. Airplane Heaven can be a bit hit-and-miss as we know, but this seems to be one of their better efforts. I like it. Above and slightly behind your head, on a panel attached to the cockpit canopy roof. 1 hour ago, bobcat999 said: I agree, and best to get it from from the simmer friendly team at Just Flight as well. Yes, I got mine from JF too. ( And another Avro the following day - their Avro RJ ! ) I think the Lancaster is the best thing Aeroplane Heaven has ever done. I steered clear of them for many years, because of previous disappointments, but this model is excellent. There may be imperfections; I don't know, as I'm not an expert on the aircraft. However, it looks, feels and sounds like a Lanc, and I think it's wonderful. I'd love to see AH capitalise on the success of this model and produce a payware expansion, to include some post-war configurations ( RCAF SAR for example ) and maybe even a Lancastrian.
