The Lancaster is ready for MSFS2020.

Apparently it's coming very very soon

I cannot wait.

  • The message is not mixed, it is crystal clear. 1. The aircraft was developed using the MSFS 2020 SDK 2. It works in MSFS 2024 in exactly the same way as it does in MSFS 2020 3. Because it was

This is great news that the Lancaster will finally see the light of day.

I know they have been working on this for a long time.

There is a tremendous documentary on the Lancaster and the men who who flew her.

It's quite emotional towards the end as you really get an understanding of what these men, and all men and women who fought in WWII sacrificed and experienced.

You can watch it here.

I was fortunate enough to see a Lancaster at Oshkosh AirVenture some years back.

What an impressive aircraft to walk up to.

I don’t normally buy AH products, but I will definitely be buying this as long as the reviews show it to be half decent in terms of bugs/stability.

Ditto, I have a soft spot for the Lancaster.

My grandfather fixed them in WW2 (RAF), and I lived in Hamilton as a kid and got to see the Lancaster at the CWH Museum there up close and personal.

Their effort for this lady in P3D was reasonable as was the Halifax,

Both of them are my principal reason for still using P3D - so obviously - I will be getting this

and hoping that the Halifax - which my dad flew in WW11 - follows soon after

No one was more shocked than I when it was announced that they'd be producing a heavy jet airliner! And it seems our misgivings were well placed.

OTOH, AH have built a LOT of warbirds over 3 simulators. And since the Lanc is more or less 4 Spitfires glued together, I'm pretty sure they can handle it 😉

Sounds will obviously be important with the 4 Merlin's.  The 707 sounded like it had 4 vacuum cleaners, so I hope they don't mess this up.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Luckily this was primarily a night bomber so you won't see how grim the cockpit textures will be...

I did some beta testing on the Halifax. I've often wondered why Mike at FR has never released it, or the B-24, for MSFS2020. Both are sorely missed.
