July 31, 2025Jul 31 The last 2 months for MSFS has been great, and very busy. First, the Black Square Starship was released, and the reviews have been quite good for it. On the same day the Black Square Starship was released, the FSLabs A321 Neo was also released. That's two excellent planes, released on the same day. Then, we hear that Toliss has partnered with Aerosoft, to bring the A340 to MSFS. Not long after that, the A2A Aerostar was released. The reviews for the A2A Aerostar so far, have also been very good. And then the FlightFX Citation X was released, also to positive reviews. And finally, just when things were starting to calm down in July, Fenix releases their BFU. It's been a great 2 months for MSFS. Even for a random 2 month period for MSFS, the last 2 months for MSFS stands out for me, for the quality of releases and the announcements that came out. And I'm not even including any scenery add-ons, or utility add-on releases and announcements. I look forward to the remainder of this year, and with luck, maybe the BlueBird Simulations 757 stand a chance of being released sometime by the end of this year. It's been a lot of negativity since MSFS 2024 has been released since the the first few weeks after the release of it was really bad, but with the last few Sim Updates, the add-ons being converted to MSFS 2024, and the the add-ons being released, I think things are gradually turning a corner. Well, since the 1st or 2nd update of SU3, I'm loving it. The iFly MAX, CRJ and FSS eJet all run great as well as my beloved GA planes. But then again, I come from the FSX days when clicking on a menu item in-flight would cause an immediate CTD. And so did a loud sneeze or a slight breeze from an open window in your sim-room. July 31, 2025Jul 31 Hopefully we will get a few more SU3 updates before they release it into the wild. It is getting gradually better, and with a few tweaks to how I use the sim, I am generally enjoying it. They plan for performance improvements and more compatibility with 2020 products for SU4 I believe. I am up for that. If they can look at the VRAM issues as well, maybe it will be the turning point for those sitting on the fence. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
July 31, 2025Jul 31 I believe SU4 will still be mostly fixes and further solidifying? Per the last Q&A they said they will start on new features in SU4 or SU5 onwards I believe (https://youtu.be/iA_b1BX60kw?t=231). There are two "surprises" marked before SU4 and after, wonder what those will be. In any case, SU2 or SU3 is likely what should've been the initial release of 2024 😅.. but hey it is what it is and now we're finally in a good place with MSFS 2024, and I look forward to further fixes as well as new capabilities in the core sim, and of course the continuing stream of new and updated 3rd party aircraft! Not quite sure if it will be Fantastic, but it will be at least Good: highly detailed, multi-variant, glass cockpit, independent Missions System, etc. Edited July 31, 2025Jul 31 by UrgentSiesta Typo

I would say, it took longer until MSFS 2020 became pretty decent. I guess it was around SU9 or so? I remember even in SU7, people got really angry about the live weather changes. Not that I am endorsing the MSFS team's choice to bypass a lengthy alpha and beta test phase. In fact, I have always thought they should have a lengthy testing phase with the community before any release. But in the end, we got, what some claimed was, the best ever civilian flight simulator ever made by the 4th year of MSFS 2020. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

This is just another opinion post embellishing the game that is posted almost daily. I question what these post are for??? Fun reading for entertainment I guess.

Explain why on the steam charts as of today , there are almost twice as many users, using MSFS 2020 than MSFS 2024?

Yeah that's atrocious and Asobo and equally microsoft should be pretty ashamed of the whole state of it. However, they had 2 choices here. Abandon it and just leave everyone in the water or do something about it. I'm not excusing the launch everyone knows it was word not allowed poor but I'm glad Asobo decided to do something about it as many game developers often just abandon things as they are on launch. 31 minutes ago, tpete61 said: I question what these post are for??? Fun reading for entertainment I guess. Is it really that difficult to understand? Despite the terrible situation, users are finally getting a usable product that they put their hard earned money on. We can equally disparage Asobo and Microsoft for their treatment of the product whilst also celebrating the small wins we as consumers can enjoy. It doesn't have to be an either or situation.

Bob it's like you read what Abram's said then decided to entirely ignore the whole point they were making. Both sims had extremely turbulent launches and after-sales support for the better part of a year. What does steam charts have to do with any of that?

The point is, that are many users who tried 2024, with all the fixes so far, and still prefer 2020. That is the point.
