August 2, 2025Aug 2 Apologies if this has been asked before. I generally fly the PMDG 777 and Fenix A320 in 2024...what setting should turbulence be set at? I read something online that the recommendation is LOW but I'm worried that won't give me any sensation of turbulence at all? AMD Ryzen™ 9 9900X3D, AM5, Zen 5, 12 Core, 24 Threads, 4.4GHz, 5.5GHz Turbo 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 6000MHz Corsair Vengeance 32GB GeForce® RTX 5090 Graphics Card
August 2, 2025Aug 2 I normally fly GA, but I set mine to medium as high is too much compared to the real world. For tubeliners that don't feel it so much, maybe high is OK but low is a bit like flying on rails. I found this to be the case in both 2020 and 2024. Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

August 3, 2025Aug 3 Low, using either only default or RealTurb appears to be consensual... August 3, 2025Aug 3 I use Low setting, not because I think it is a spot-on replication of real-world turbulence but because I find Medium and High to be far too exaggerated in the sim. High might be technically "realistic," but when you don't have a way to physically feel the sensations of air moving the aircraft around then those higher settings are diffcult to fly through. I would kind of like something in between Low and Medium if I had my druthers. Granted I fly mainly GA and helicopters, so this might be different if you fly airliners. YMMV of course. For GA I use low in MSFS and 60 in Active sky Turbulence effect. Seems pretty realistic.
