Beyond ATC experiences...

I've been using (and enjoying) BATC for a while now but have encountered an issue I can't seem to work around. For some reason the program simply cannot contact the update servers on start up any more. Have installed the latest build from their website (followed the instructions of uninstalling and deleting the folder) but still it doesn't work. Anyone else had this?

  • You people make it all sound like it is completely hope- and usesless. It is the best ATC program available for MSFS at this point. By a wide margin. At least for Linepilots. And there is ST

  • Yeah, you can only run Early Access and use that as an excuse for so long to be fair.   If that was the case we could all say that MSFS is Early Access as we all get access to it long before all

  • I guess if you don't fly into controlled airspace and don't want to know about traffic advisories and weather updates and low visibility (SVFR), and separation services, and don't do flight following,

Same happened to me and I downloaded the "BATC_1.6.71.EA_Installer.zip" (do not know what you mean from latest build ) and worked ok.

Best bet is to post it on discord as suggested on their web site for further assistance.

Yeah.. asked in their Discord. Got the answer to reinstall and delete a folder. No further response from them after pointing out that didn't work...

BATC doesn't seem to have a clue where my plane is altitude-wise.  I notice this when I get confused about what altitude I'm supposed to be at after BATC directs me to, for example, "descend and maintain 20K feet", then doesn't say anything more except maybe to descend according to a STAR.  But here's what I mean re no clue re my altitude:  I can be on a downwind leg in the A320 6,000 feet above the runway only to have BATC direct me to "turn right to and intercept the localizer" 10 miles down the downwind leg.  It's telling me to  descend 6000' to a runway 10 miles away in this example. It seems like it ought to know this and direct for a go around or something, but it remain clueless and always has.  FSHud seemed far better in this regard.  Heck, even default ATC did better than this in 2020 early on.
