I would like to see them keep this up though and change the schedule every half year when appropriate. I have no clue how much FR24 charges for a full weeks set of data, which what they use to populate their program, and if this is sustainable. But I would even be willing to pay a small fee of around 5€ every half a year, to get updated schedules. Edited August 15, 2025Aug 15 by Farlis

Yeah, they should run a basic IFR and VFR pattern and have it vector for that when not using STARs. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/

With that said, they have a planned road map of feature implementations. What BATC is trying to accomplish is a great idea, but I believe AI Traffic (along with road traffic and boat traffic) issues in MSFS 2024 will need to be address by Asobo. It's a difficult problem to solve and will require more CPU resources ... but heck most have many cores not doing much so hopefully they can come up with efficient task scheduling running on a separate core updating the main pipe for all the path routing logic. August 15, 2025Aug 15 It's funny, so many BATC threads with less than satisfied users, then there are the plethora of SayIntentions threads comparing it to BATC and then there is a subsection of the population using FSHUD which despite some vectoring issues itself at times and the worst voices of the 3 keeps me very content. I wonder why it's always left out of the BATC vs SI threads... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

It's semi-garbage but there's nothing else out there, so I continue to tolerate it. Have you never heard of FSHud? Ian Box

It can do okay with really structured rnav routes and sids/stars though as long as you fly airliners or jets. It struggles with general aviation style flights. I rarely use it. I second this and much more. For example, on a vector in my C310 for a VA to uncontrolled KTPH; then, "Radar service terminated..." no clearance, no nothing. SI (Say Intentions) does terribly with airspace and basic FAA phraseology. For example, 30 NM NE of DAG in ZLA airspace: "Contact Mexicali Control..." or "FL120" in the USA? This shouldn't be this difficult. PE is the ticket, I just wish there was more volume.

Despite the approach annoyances and sometimes wonky runway assignments I still use it every airliner flight. August 15, 2025Aug 15 My problems are in line with the OP. The program leaves me high about a half to a third of the time. The program likes to give me visual approaches but can sometimes get back to me late. I can also attest to the hold taxi and the program never calls me back as promised. However, the voice interaction is why I bought it. IMO, it does a very good job at voice interactions. There are times it expects a different pronunciation of a SID then I'm giving it, but then I just turn on auto reply when it scolds me with "NO!". In summary: I'm enjoying it and I'm not using any premium voices. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma
August 15, 2025Aug 15 I just bought it as default ATC and traffic is horrible for IFR airliner operations. I’ve only done one flight with it and it worked flawlessly for me. I had to line up and hold short while the plane ahead took off. Then it vectored me into my arrival just fine. I’m sure it has some flaws but can’t be worse than default. I still use vanilla ATC for VFR but then you don’t even need ATC for VFR really.
