August 15, 2025Aug 15 Hi. The 5070 ti is maybe 100€ more. But is it worth it? There Are no recent benchmarks of 2024 with GPUs unfortunately or comparisons of the air upscalers. Is dlss worth it over the amd solution? Thanks for the answers
August 15, 2025Aug 15 DLSS makes glass displays blurry and creates artifacts on the water. I never used DLSS in MSFS or FS2024 because of these issues. Maybe you already found these tests, I report the links for future reference. August 15, 2025Aug 15 Overall the 5070ti is a little more powerful across a slate of games but 2024 likes the 9070xt a lot more. Since 2024 is the only big graphics intensive game I currently play, I'll be replacing my 3070ti with a 9070xt at the end of the month 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.
August 15, 2025Aug 15 I have a 9070 xt and it runs very well in both 2D and VR in MSF2024 with a Quest 3. In VR you just need to do some tweaking and be realistic on your settings, then all is good. I am also using Virtual Display as well.

For the tech spot one. I couldn't find it. The other one I found but there where no 5x nvidia cards
August 15, 2025Aug 15 Author What I find weird of the benchmark is that the first one shows clearly better fps for the 7090. But the other one shows is similar between the 2.

You would need to really look into the details of how each benchmark is done to know how comparable they are. Look at several benchmarks to get an idea but don't waste too much time comparing results too exactly. Hardware Unboxed on youtube are also a good source for reviews but afaik thy don't use msfs. I think they also did a review recently showing how the 9070 performance had increased with recent drivers. I have a 9070 non-XT and tbh I haven't played around with settings at all either with the card in drivers or in msfs settings. I just have a 60fps limit in msfs and everything else at default and running at 1440p flying small GA aircraft at low level I am getting a steady 60fps and I haven't run into any problems yet.
August 15, 2025Aug 15 That is interesting Been thinking of changing my 4070ti for for a 5070 since I moved to 4k I thought therapeutic were not good for Ray tracing. Isn't that what 2024 uses Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

August 16, 2025Aug 16 The 9080 XT isnt so much bound to the CPU and would allow older CPUs (11th gen upwards) to use it more efficiently without bottleneck. But watch the power draw. The Sapphire Nitro+ would be the best of them. Personally im holding out for the 5080 Super. Edited August 16, 2025Aug 16 by 40track
August 16, 2025Aug 16 Author So dlls 4 is not really worth it? And Ray tracing Shadow is fine with the 9070?
